Australia tour of New Zealand 2010

Wish Hughes and Smith were playing :crying *sigh* now Williamson unlikely to play :(

Now the only thing to look forward to is Ponting needing another 53 runs to pass Lara :happy

With how green the pitch was Australia will be bowled out for less than 100 and NZ less than 20. :laugh

Thats good. I don't think Williamson could balance out the runs that Patel would have leaked.

I wouldn't think they would both play though, even if it was a spinning wicket. It would be one or the other.

Seems like it's going to be straight race for the No. 3 spot between Sinclair and Ingram. TBH, I'm quite happy to have Sinclair in for Ingram. But if I had my way, I'd have neither of them in the team.

Should be Williamson in for Ingram and then you don't have to worry about the green pitch or the experience of Franklin as he goes straight in for Tuffey.

You have the build up the reputation, we would have been saying the same thing about Warne and McGrath when they were starting up.

Richie Richardson once described a team containing Mark Taylor, Michael Slater, David Boon, Mark Waugh, Steve Waugh, Ian Healy, Paul Reiffel, Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath as "the weakest Australian team I've played against".

Boy was he wrong.

:clap Seems like I'm the only one who remembers that quote!! Thanks! Richie had to apologize on channel 7 the next day to Australia, what a tool. Obviously he was upset at WI being thrashed in that 4th test when he announced to all that the WI would be in top form in that test, well they got rolled big time and have never recovered.

Williamson wouldn't replace Ingram cos the selectors wouldn't throw him in at 3 vs Australia. If he did play it would be at 6 but I think that is very unlikely...

Team has been all but confirmed.

1: McIntosh
2: Watling
3: Ingram/Sinclair
4: Taylor
5: Guptill
6: Vettori
7: McCullum
8: Patel
9: Southee
10: Arnel
11: Martin

I thought the pitch was green, Franklin playing at 8?

Saw the article on cricinfo that agrees with you. I would prefer Sinclair in the team, mostly because Ingram is hopeless.

8: Patel
9: Southee
10: Arnel
11: Martin
One of the weakest test attacks (if you can call it that) that I've ever seen, Franklin should play over Patel, but it aint hapening, Lets just hope Skippy plays.
