Australia tour of New Zealand 2010

WOW what a good effort by the Aussies after 120/4. Still ████ batting, I can blame Ponting for this innings but usually he knows what he is doing, its Watson which I am more angry about, he is in the form of his life but keeps getting out in the 40s. He is like Sehwag in ODIs, keeps on geting starts but gets out a bit later.

Yea I know the West Indies have allot to do with this thread, grow the flip up kid.

Hahahaha. You were the one bringing up Bangladesh tours in an Aus vs West Indies thread. Take your own advice because frankly I don't want to grow up.

No see I wasn't coming into threads and taunting people. Just because you cant take being embarrassed in a argument you come in a WI thread and try to taunt me. After all it was you that brought the Zimbabwe tour into the WI vs Australia thread.
Grow a pair of balls and learn to move on, everyone gets embarrassed once in a while.

Unlike the last match, I think this pitch has a bit more life in it like Bond showed. 273 might be a pretty good score.

Bond had good figures last match too. There was early swing for Southee but Bond is just a good bowler no matter the pitch.

I think NZ were in the game the whole way. Aus got a fairly average start and then lost wickets. After 4th wicket it was NZ's game to attack and I guess they did have a good crack at it with their best bowlers on, but White and Hussey got away. Perhaps those two did not bat deep enough into the death to dominate, but 3/139 from the 30 over mark means they actually got themselves back into the game a little, rather than being pegged back.

It's a smaller ground than Napier, but the pitch is a bit different. It balances out, in fact historically, the pitches have tended to have a little more effect. Neither team has really had an irresistibly good period of dominance in the match so far, so I fully expect another tight game.

That was my sentiment watching the first 10 overs of the 1st innings. Especially with no Ross Taylor and Franklin might not bat.

McCullum basically has to take the team home here with a big first 20 overs score.

Keep that quote up irottev, CaptainOZ :laugh

I remember posting that after Australia had just won about 30 games in a row against the Pakis and Windies. At least NZ are providing them with challenge.

I still consider Australia as favourites going into any match, but this NZ tour so far may be beginning to expose an awful truth: perhaps Australia aren't as good as that recent summer suggested. False sense of security?

Well CH series have always been close, Kiwis usually get the better start, than we fight back into the series, and then its the decider.

TumTum added 2 Minutes and 34 Seconds later...

Bloody hell stop bowling short @ McCullum :facepalm

It's a game that probably looks better on the live scorecards than live. Nearly 6 rpo, but only 6 scoring shots in 4 overs.
