We are badly missing that opener that can get us off to a flyer, I'm tempted to put White as opener see if he can finally live up to his hype. Clarke back into the 4 spot where he can steady our flagging middle order. Ferguson could go to 4 but at 6 he is doing the Bevan role pretty well.

They've already said they won't rush Lee and considering reports suggest he might not actually play before the end of the month, I figure it's unlikely, but not impossible. In any case, they need to replace Geeves for Pakistan, so they have to pick someone beside Lee, Watson and Hilfenhaus anyway.

Lee won't be back to mid way through the Pakistan series so hes no hope of being picked here.

What a stupid move. Clark is going to be a major weapon for us in the Ashes so why the hell would you drag him away from his county stint to play one dayers. They shouldve picked someone like Clint Mckay or just play Laughlin.

Very happy with how young Ferguson is going so far. I just hope Dave Hussey can some runs soon , I dont think hes going to get too many more chances.

It's pretty surprising that Australia called up Clark, especially after the country controversy. Anyway it would be good for him to add up some international experience.
