Australia tour of South Africa 2018

BS. The outcry is because said individuals involved have been openly criticising others when accused, sworn never to do it. Bitched and moaned all tour long about sledging hostile crowds wha wah wah. What about players in Australia who have had urine thrown on them, Amla called a terrorist, Ntini called a baboon, monkey comments for Indians etc etc etc. When Aussies get it back Lehman cries like a four year old that is being forced to share their favourite toy. Please. Save the 'because we are best everyone expects more BS' The players in question have been riding high on their glorified pedestals and how the mighty have fallen. As a Saffer, I always hated but respected Ponting, S. Waugh and McGrath. They were hard vicious and often dirty but never conspired to cheat like this. Kudos to them.

There's a reason why this is such a huge deal over here yet du Plessis and his zipper means nothing over there. He's still captain after all. Least we are doing something about it and don't put up with it here. It's okay over there, you do it but still remain captain.[DOUBLEPOST=1522155173][/DOUBLEPOST]
I just read team mates complained he was alone getting drunk isolating himself. Seems he is off the wagon and in total beast mode.

Not arguing with you that Warners a flog of the highest order. I gave Smith the benefit of the doubt over the dressing room thing. But this has done it for me. Bancroft could of said no but didn't so his problem.

Plus I noticed you mentioned Amla called a terrorist, Ntini a baboon etc etc but do any of those bring the players family into it like Warners has ? I don't think bringing a players mrs or children into it should ever happen which is why I'd say that was too far and why we complained. I don't think too highly of mrs Warner either but don't think it should be bought into things. Lucky you guys dont know her whole history and just the Sonny Bill stuff otherwise it'd have been even worse :lol

One of the worst parts of this is it's really taken away from what at the time was a really fierce and good series. It's ruined the series now. Was looking forward to this series and was annoyed when Steyn got injured thinking oh that takes away a bit of the series. Little did I know at that time.

I dont think it is jealousy: its the Aussie all high and mighty and righteousness that now is coming home and hitting them hard.

It's jealousy without a doubt because what right do most of the other Countries have of calling us cheats ?
We have the lost the right as well to call anyone cheats but some of the other Countries lost that right a long time ago.[DOUBLEPOST=1522155978][/DOUBLEPOST]
Warner has lost it: doing a Symonds

I loved Symo. Wouldn't compare Warner with him. Symo simply enjoyed life outside of Cricket. Enjoyed fishing and a drink. Think a lot of the things aimed towards Symo were because of Clarke.

Right now we aren't the powerhouse we have been before. I mean it was always going to be that way after having a team full of players like Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Clarke, Gilchrist, Warne, McGrath Lee, Gillespie and we have taken the wrong way in handling not being as good as we once were. Instead of learning to lose gracefully we have gone and done this. Insulting to our past players. I admit, we have always played hard and on the edge. I love that about us. But I always thought we played hard but within the rules.

I'll admit, about two years ago I thought something stinks with this side. Players seemed to be getting picked who were friends with certain players (M Marsh, Maddinson, OKeefe) ahead of other players. The culture has really been poor since Lehmann has been there and especially since Warner has been a key member of the side. Looks like some of that has rubbed off onto Smith too who to start with was meant to be this quiet shy bloke.[DOUBLEPOST=1522156823][/DOUBLEPOST]I know who our next coach has to be and that is Justin Langer. He has shown at the Perth Scorchers he won't put up with anyone who doesn't buy into the team way and the team culture.

Strong rumors here that Joe Burns is heading over along with one other player but nothing on who that is yet. Got a feeling it might be George Bailey to bring a bit of leadership over there. Clearly need someone like him that's for sure. Not the best player going around but a class bloke.

Also hearing the next coach is Langer or Gillespie with Langer the front runner.[DOUBLEPOST=1522157490][/DOUBLEPOST]

Smelt like Warner from the moment it happened. No surprise he didn't have the balls to do it himself and got the youngster to do it for him.

AUSTRALIA’S embattled cricket team has appeared at Cape Town airport ahead of a flight to Johannesburg as they wait to learn their fate from Cricket Australia.

Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft as well as coach Darren Lehmann were all pictured with the team, however Warner was last to emerge from the bus with the “leadership group” staying at the back of the pack.[DOUBLEPOST=1522157945][/DOUBLEPOST]“Several senior players are understood to be incensed by Smith’s comments on Saturday when he implicated the ‘leadership group’ as a collective in the plan to cheat. It is thought he was trying to protect Warner and spread the blame but teammates such as Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood are believed to be extremely upset to have been dragged into it and had not been involved in the discussions,”

Everything I am reading suggests one year ban and stripping of captaincy permanently. But he will still be free to play elsewhere. This will only be a CA sanction. Same for Warner.

Would make absolutely no sense if they are free to play elsewhere (especially the IPL which starts in less than 2 weeks). If they are banned by their home board, they should effectively be ruled out of the IPL and other leagues that are supposed to take part in within the ban period.
