Australia tour of South Africa 2018

Starting to look like facts are falling into place. Looks like it started with Warner, discussed with Smith, with Bancroft happy to do it. Personally don't think Lehmann knew, but he has to go now that this has happened under him.
Would be happy to never see Warner represent Australia ever again. Think that may be the case too.
Would also be happy to never see Smith represent us again, however I think that one is less likely. Probably a 2 year ban with 1 year suspended.
Bancroft just like Smith, would be happy to see him never represent us again, however thinking probably the same punishment as Smith.[DOUBLEPOST=1522158301][/DOUBLEPOST]Don't blame us for his ban not working elsewhere. The ICC handed down a weak one match ban to Smith. That's their fault, not ours.

Would make absolutely no sense if they are free to play elsewhere (especially the IPL which starts in less than 2 weeks). If they are banned by their home board, they should effectively be ruled out of the IPL and other leagues that are supposed to take part in within the ban period.

That's not how it works.
That's up to the ICC. We aren't allowed to ban them from anything other then games associated with Australia or our Domestic tournaments.

The ICC can't really ban them for too long. The precedent was set with du Plessis, Tendulkar and Pakistan. du Plessis 50% match fee for his first incident and 3 demerit points for his second incident, Tendulkar a one game ban and Pakistan 5 penalty runs. Most though overturned after excuses. I mean come on, Afridi got a two match ban for BITING the ball (which was hilarious watching). People seem to forget these things.

Home boards provide NOC's (No Objection Certificate) to players for participating in domestic leagues around the world. If CA revokes the NOC as part of the ban, then Warner and Smith will be ruled out of the IPL. Of course, I believe there might be the chance for them to take the legal route (if CA has left any gaps in the contracts). Warner's IPL team, Sunrisers Hyderabad has mentioned in a press conference few days back that they are waiting for Cricket Australia's verdict on Warner before they announce anything and will take actions if Warner is banned by his home board. So it looks very likely that Warner/Smith might miss out on the IPL if they are banned.

Our board will have much tougher outcomes for them then the ICC ever will.

THIS got two games.

If it's true that Warner was the brains, for want of a better word, behind the whole thing, then I wouldn't be surprised to see Smith let off with six months rather than the year that was originally rumoured. He still has to take responsibility as captain obviously, and he's going to lose that, but he's clearly obviously still a massive part of that team if they still want him going forward. Warner it seems could be gone for good though the way things are going. Looking forward to hopefully having things cleared up in the next 15 minutes or so though.

Lehmann faces nothing, not even a charge. I call bs on that.
