The Aussie's have taken a 2-1 lead in the series with some outstanding bowling. Brett Lee was named MOTM as Australia celebrated it's win. The Indian's did play well in parts but in the end not enough was done to stop the rampaging Australian's recovering from their 3 run loss in Adelaide...

Bad news for the Australian's today with Glen McGrath announcing that he will be unavaliable for the last two tests with a strained ankle. McGrath met the press outside the SCG changerooms where he told that his examination had shown the damage in his ankle. "It's a big setback considering the form I am currently in" said Glen, "I suppose it's just one of those little things that happen at the worst times." McGrath also seemed disappointed at the prospect of not playing on his home ground, "The SCG is my home, and It's where my cricket started and it always brings back special memory's every time I play there, It's gunna be hard but as I said there is no other option"
This ground has seen some great spectacles over it's long history. It is again about to see another hard fought test match. India need to win to keep their hopes of a series win alive while the Aussies will be looking to keep the momentum going and win the series convincingly. Both teams have made many significant changes to their lineups which will impact on the match greatly...
Anil Kumble could dominate with his spin
The Pitch
This SCG pitch is a dusty and dry wicket, which is perfect for the likes of Warne and Kumble. It is also a paradise for batsmen and a nightmare for the pace attack. The spinners will be relied heavily upon in this game to stop the batsmen scoring...
The Weather
Day 1: Fine and hot, Max 33
Day 2: Fine and hot, Max 29
Day 3: Fine and warm, Max 26
Day 4: Cloudy and cool, Max 19
Day 5: Fine and warm, Max 25
So the stage is set for a huge test match. The Aussie's will look to rattle the Indian's and the Indian's will be looking to stay alive in this series...
Welcome to the SCG for the 4th test in this 5 test series between Australia and India. The Australian's won the last game on a seaming wicket convincingly while India struggled coping with the zip. This pitch will help the Indian's a great deal more as it imitates a normal pitch in India. With lots of spin available they have packed two spinners, something which should help them later on in the game
Stuart Clark has made a wondeful start to his test career by taking the wicket of Wasim Jaffer early in the game. Jaffer was drawn onto the back foot by a Clark ball which then cut away slightly and forced Jaffer to sky the ball to Mike Hussey at cover. This is a great wicket Clark as it will boost his confidence and inspire him on to bigger wickets...
Summary: A great session for the Indian's, Sehwag managed to score his 50 on the first ball of a Clark over then smash over 20 runs to go from 49 to 73 in the over before lunch. The Australian team looked demoralized as they left for the pavillion...
Shane Warne has finally struck for the Aussie's and broken the big partnership that was forming between Sehwag and Dravid. Sewhag was drawn into a huge swipe at the ball which had no real technique and payed the price when the ball spun past the edge and into Gilchrist's gloves which quickly whipped the bails off. VVS Laxman is the new man in...
Summary: The Indian team looks to be establishing a strong innings here with good batting from all it's top order. The Aussie's are finding it hard to eve create chances and are now looking desperate for a breakthrough.
Rahul Dravid has been caught in the covers right after scoring his 50. Dravid tried to play on the back foot to a Lee ball which bounced up on him and forced the ball into the air where Symonds took a comfortable catch. Tendulkar will now need to find some form on a pitch which is proving to be a batsmen's paradise...
Shane Warne has sent shudders up every single spine in the Indian dressing room with the wicket of Laxman. Warne pitched an offbreak quite far outside off stump and put no pace on it. The ball then turned an incredible amount to just on leg stump. Laxman tried to sweep it but the ball spun past his bat and onto his pads where he was given out LBW for 44. It looks like the SCG pitch has finally come alive...
