Australian coaches give doosra the flick

woops, did not see the post but I understand now. Will be digging up some youtube videos now to see Vettori in action.

The grip is practically identical. But instead of running the fingers down the side of the ball, it is released very much like a seam bowler would.

Do Harbhajan, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sayeed Ajmal also have birth defect hat allows them to bowl?? :p:p lol

The fact is, this is extremely hard to master. I had tried and found bowling a leg spinner's wrong'un easier than the doosra. The trick while bowling a dossra is use a little bit more of right shoulder during delivery. You had to push the right shoulder a little bit more forward then usual to get the bowling wrist perpendicular. It takes a lot of effort bowling even one doosra and guys like Harbhajan do this regularly .That is commendable

The googly is much easier to bowl than the doosra.

Murali's helped that he cannot fully extend his arms. Therefore he can have the bend in his elbow that allows him to get the wrist and fingers in the optimal position.

I've tried bowling the doosra, and I had two ways of doing it. One was by releasing it off the back of the hand, like Murali does. Hold the ball like an offbreak and turning your wrist like an offspinner, expect with the palm facing upwards to the sky instead of at the batsman. The second is just bowling an out and out legbreak with an offbreak grip. Hold the ball like an offbreak, and get in position to bowl and offspinner, but at release turn your wrist from right to left, bowling it like a legbreak. Either way is really difficult to control and needs a lot of practice. And that's with the tennis ball! Would be much harder with a proper cricket ball.

That being said, I don't think it's impossible to bowl at all. Needs some work to bowl it, but you can do it. And you don't need to chuck either, just need a nice, high arm action.

I bowl it the first way. It's easier to disguise, and if you can get it right you can also bowl a top spinner.

The second method you describe I think is easy to pick for batsmen.

Do any of the Australian Spinner coaches, even know how to bowl a doosra properly? How are they going to teach something they don't know how to do properly.

By hiring coaches that know how to bowl it. Mustaq offerred to teach our bowlers how to bowl it properly.
