Geez you gotta figure that with such form he would do a lot better than North for the nest at number 6. North may be a better batsman but with form like that what team wouldnt give him a go??
By the looks of things, us! I wonder if a few wickets and another North failure will change the selectors mind.

Thats the problem! I really cant see North not playing, no point at all of taking him and not playing him. If it were a 3 test series and he failed in 2 of them then Smith might have gotten a go, like in 2000 when Blewett played 2, failed, and Hayden was given a proper go from the 3rd test. I cant see North making good runs, he might scratch a 50 and hold on for the Pak series in eng, i'm not sure thats the best thing for Aus cricket- keeping young in form players on the bench.
O'Keefe just got Klinger and Cosgrove, hes going very well lately. Too bad NSW keep stuffing him around, he should be in our side for every match especially after what hes shown with bat and ball. Amazingly hes probably our next spinner after Hauritz, don't think Smith is ready for that role yet.

His last 4 innings reads 124, 177, 36, 100

It's just that Hughes at the top demoralizes the opposition's attack so much, that they just go throught the motion when they get to the likes of Smith. Of course there is always Khawaja to slow the innings down with a SR below 50. :ninja
OMG Trent Copeland is amazing. He is the 3rd highest wicket taker this season and hes played half the game that the top 2 have and hes only 8 wickets behind Cutting, now 7 with his 1st wicket in this innings. Copeland 35 wickets in 5 games at 16.77! Also his wicket was the inform Klinger.
O'Keefe is the only spinner to have an average of 30 this season, hes making big strides and I think he might have forced the selectors to keep him as the specialist spinner.
