Well I suppose last season was the last time I'll ever go to a FRC game... unless they change it back. I'm not giving cricket australia my money to watch this ████.

That's why the call to make it a 12 person team is a bit strange. You could go with 6 specialist bats, a keeper, an allrounder and still have 4 bowlers. I'm not sure I like that. Increase the maximum overs per bowler, but keep it at 11 IMHO.
Reading up about the trial they did, it isn't gonna change anything to the way teams play. The idea with the 'two innings' was to make everyone smash it around for both the innings. But in the trial what they found was that the teams were both conservative for the first 20 before opening up in the 2nd part.
That is the mentality almost all the teams will have, just changing the the way the match is played out is not gonna really change the way team play the game.

The fact that CA introduced this domestically, is just another shocking example of how inept the ICC it needs revamping.
How can we have 50 over cricket playing internationally, but the boards of CA, ECB, CSA deciding to play something different??. What ignorance is that...
That like in football we have 11-a-side internationally, but the the premiership, serie A & la liga play futsal domestically. Utter confusion & ignorance

The game is turning into a flinging joke, soon we will give fielders gloves to pull of stunning catches (or sitters if you are Pakistani)
The ODI game is useless, its just going to lead to this nonsense of constant tinkering and reformatting to try to resuscitate it. Twenty20 and Test Cricket are the future, let the sorry ol bastard die, kill the ODI.

RTD was in some incredible form in the county 20 20 matches, his batting looked amazing, hopefully he can keep it going for Tassie, he will delight the aussie fans for sure.
I find him to be so underrated. People say his stats are boosted by the fact he plays for the Netherlands, but he consistently performs for Essex in all 3 formats with both bat and ball. A genius signing imo, surprised he hasn't been picked up by an IPL team. They'd probably get him dirt cheap too, bit of space cake. RTD would get into any International team imo.

Oh agree 100%. Ridiculous he doesnt play for an IPL team, his talent is immense. The power of his hitting is just so suited to 20 20, commanding player indeed.
