Australian Domestic Cricket

Excellent closing arguments by Bollinger and Lee. Good catch under pressure by Maddinson where Hauritz had earlier failed. Christian's innings probably should have been the difference and they were still in it to the last ball, but the Blues had enough great players to turn the game around. Epic match.

It was SA's to lose tbh, they only needed about a run a ball off the last 2 didn't they? With Klinger and O'Brien out there.

Well, Michael Klinger is the biggest idiot ever. Dumbest shot ever IMO, was definately not needed.

Was the game shown?. If yes was Lee bowling @ 90 mph?

Ha. So would it be right for me to conclude if 89 mph was his top speed, that he not bowling anywhere near his peak 90 + mph pace when he last played ODIs for AUS in India 2009?

I noticed he got up to 147, and the other five bowls of that over were around the 143 mark. All his other overs he averaged about 135 which i thought was strange. He's come back with a shorter run-up after his latest rehabilitation, so he doesn't have as much momentum and I'm sure he doesn't want to push himself to hard, if he got another serious injury again it would be the end of him

Christian bowling might have been off song but boy he is starting to deliver on his potential with the bat. Awesome knock by him, almost pulled off a remarkable knock.

Hmm sounds like the Brett Lee during the IPL this year. Which is not the Lee i'd want to see for AUS again.

^No one wants that Brett Lee. But I think a Lee with more bowling under his belt would be much better than IPL Lee, even if he is still only a 140kph guy. The IPL stint was awful, but it was the first bowling he'd done since his elbow surgery.

Yah he mentioned on the cricket show the other day during the last Test that he's shortened the run down to 26m. I think he said it was 33 or 35 previously.

It would have been 35 at the start of his career, but not any time recently.

Lynn to the rescue, 132 not out. QLD lead by 78 with 5 wickets in hand and 27 overs left in the game.

^I did not know this! Good effort sir - tally ho!

Probably means he'll be talked about as being the next Aussie captain before you know it...:facepalm
