Australian Domestic Cricket

Casson returns with a 4 fer. Siddle's batting has come on very nicely and his bowling is the usual. A Copeland and one other bowler along with Siddle should make a good Aussie pace attack.

Sri Lanka, somewhere around august september. but I'm sure cricket Australia will organise a tour before then. Even if it's just ODI's. :)

Bangladesh is the next tour but still undecided if there will be Test matches.
Jaques backs up his 100 with a 50, looks like hes starting to find his old form again.

Yep. Hopefully he gets his hundred in the 2nd innings & continues to build on that until the end of the season, since id love to see him opening again in tests.

Pretty good day for the youngsters some wickets for Floros, Copeland and Richardson. Siddle with a 6fer looked like he had another one of those spells but a bit too late given NSW posted 400.

Ye i liked the look of Richardson the only time i saw him in the bigbash final the other day.

ATS looking ahead to our next test (Bangladesh or Sri Lanka). Id say the the 3 man quicks in the 5-man attack (Watson + Krejza as the spinner) is between 5 cats - Bollinger, Copeland, Harris, Siddle, Johnson.

- Bollinger & Harris (once fit) are the main two.

- Copeland for now has taken over from Hilfy as the main-swing bowler. Unless Hilfy shows superb form in Tasmania's final few FC games.

- Only 1 or Johnson & Siddle can play long term in a 5-man attack (especially if Krejza is your main spinner). As many good days you would get from the 3 of them with the ball - you will have an equal amt of bad days with the ball.

Of course also the 4-man attack option always around. Which at least should certainly be main the make-up of the attack on the S Africa tour.

Back to back 100s for Jaques, will be interesting seeing how he finishes the season as this Victorian attack is pretty tame apart from Siddle.

Doherty should be in India but the selectors lost faith in him after his Test performances. Coulter-Nile is proving very handy with the bat, in the runs again.

Lyon has another wicket and nice seeing the youngster Burns making runs.

Indeed.

If thats the case. I guess we can add that to long list of Andrew Hilditch stupid selectional decisions.

Since its his fault Doherty failed in tests. People like me & most knowledgeable cricket fans could have told him Doherty's style would struggle in tests & he should have never played in the Ashes. His style is suited for ODIs & T20s :facepalm

I read that Doherty wasn't picked because he had some injury concerns.

Given he is playing atm, if they wanted him he would have been there. You could say our spinners aren't that far apart but Doherty has deserved a proper go in the ODI arena.

Much better OD side, they really should take care of Victoria.
Just having a look at the stats of our spinners, Boyce average in the 50s and Lyon one is heading that way. Really shows how well O'Keefe has done to have his under 25.
