Australian Domestic Cricket

Wow, this James Faulkner looks a cricketer. Averaging 35 with the bat and 21 with the ball. He's must be in the thoughts of the selectors!

The new shane Watson possibly.

Had a great match last night between Tasmania and Victoria, Victoria coming from behind to win the match. The new split innings rules haven't changed much same amount of people at the grounds, the same level of competitiveness between the sides. They are cutting two rounds of the comp next season for the expanded Big Bash League. Pretty sure they are keeping the rules in place next season haven't heard anything about changing it.

so not a failure but not exactly revolutionizing cricket? Doubt it will make it to the international level. What status are those games awarded? OD?

Warner opening up in the shield match 55* at lunch, playing well against a handy bowling attack. It's a bit of a depleted NSW side. Interested to see how Casson goes. :)

Hmm no James Pattinson. Warner was average a few days earlier in the Future league game but pretty impressive here. Nice to see Hughes back in the runs as well. Probably best that Cummins didn't play, he like Warner has played a bit of cricket this week so don't want to get him injured. Unlucky O'Keefe this would have been a good time to show his worth.

Ohr man, bl Warner. 99 and of all people to get out to..Hill. Jaques needed that ton.

Was looking forward to Cummins making his debut though. Also is Khawaja injured?

Hopefully this century could see Jaques his revival of his post 2008 injury self, since coming back from injury he has looked really poor. Still has a big future for AUS.

Yea he is out, Maddinson is on the comeback trial so he should be back in the side soon. And yep it was nice to see Jaques making a 100 again, it's been far too long.

Just one doubt , will the upcoming Big Bash League affect the squads of the Shield and Ryobi Cup teams as well ?? Or is it just the Big Bash League that ll be featuring 8 teams while the others feature the same unchanged 6 teams ??

Well it's not forcing the big bash players to change, but as some players are concerned that the new T/20 comp will go for so long that the players might just move to the state that selects them for the Shield and one day cup.

Pretty good day for the youngsters some wickets for Floros, Copeland and Richardson. Siddle with a 6fer looked like he had another one of those spells but a bit too late given NSW posted 400.

North also in form. At the start of the season, you might not have expected to see WA's pace combo in Behrendorff, Coulter-Nile and Dixon, but it doesn't look too bad on paper, especially with this avalanche of runs coming from Ronchi.

North with back to back tons and Hartley played himself a nice cricsim innings.
