Australia Cricket News: Not picked between Haddin and Wade yet, insists Michael Clarke | ESPN Cricinfo
I haven't really been impressed by Wade I have to say. He's been reasonable, but I think his batting looked pretty scratchy overseas - in all forms. He made that 100 in the WI test sure, pretty good innings, but it was his best moment in the last 6 months by far. I can see the potential there, and he occasionally plays well. But to me an in form Haddin is the better player.
The other thing to consider is Tim Paine. I'm on the Paine side of the Paine vs Wade argument, mainly because Paine brings more of a fighting quality to the middle order of the Test side which will be badly needed once Hussey disappears. Wade might be the better limited overs batsman though - time will tell. But anyway...if the selectors still favour Paine over Wade, they made give Haddin the job this summer temporarily, while they give more time for the Wade vs Paine thing to play itself out.
