thanks guys. i dont really have the knowledge or the skills to go as far as gamer goes with his (and ive gone on record saying that its probably one of the most creative things ive ever seen here at pc) but im glad your enjoying the story.

there are 2 tours coming up after this match, the australians go to the west indies and then to england for the ashes (ive had enough of australian conditions so im going overseas to regain the ashes) and i can assure you that a new era of australian cricket is about to be born, there may be some new faces and hopefully this thread can continue and reach towards the 2000 post mark.

thanks a bunch for the responses, keep them coming

And Mwagh, Ur photoshop skills are great mate.. i like the way u use the real pictures in combination with the ingame screenies!

Also, the story line is the most important part of a story than photoshop which is just an extra utility to story(as its not a gfx thread ) in which ur story line is very very very strong! Even few days before u made a comeback, i was traversing through the different links from the first page and was reading the old matches! Infact the layout of the first page was also superb ( the way u have used the kits there )! Its always enjoying to read ur story! ( i have told u many no of times i guess :))

Laxman Caught On The Ropes - India 4/165 (37.3)

Brad Hogg brought an inspiring innings from V.V.S Laxman to a close as India slipped to 4/165 with just over 12 overs remaining in their final innings on Australian shores. Laxman produced 40 from only 39 balls including 5 boundaries as he took the brunt of the responsibility after Rahul Dravid cautiously moved along to 44* from 79 balls.

Hogg made the crucial breakthrough as Laxman attempted to loft the left arm spinner over the square leg fence only to find Andrew Symonds waiting on the ropes. Captain Dravid will now have to increase the tempo if India are to set a tough total for Australia to chase.

India needs to trigger up still considering the Aussie batting line up! Laxman played well too!

Also excellent presntation MWagh :clap

Let Happy Hour Begin - India 4/175 (40)

India have only 10 overs remaining to post a competitive total to in an attempt to win the VB series trophy as the 40 over mark was reached in Melbourne. The Indians have been sluggish and have amased 175 from 40 overs at a run rate of 4.37 per over.

Captain Rahul Dravid is currently unbeaten on 48 from 85 balls while Mohammed Kaif is new to the crease with 5 from 9 balls. Brett Lee and Glenn McGrath are sure to return to the crease and it will be vital that India increase the tempo to score in the 250 region to remain competitive in this match.

India 4/175 (40)
R. Dravid 48* (85)
V.V.S Laxman 39 (40)
M. Kaif 5* (9)

N. Bracken 1/35 (10)
B. Hogg 1/36 (7)
A. Symonds 0/21 (4)

Projected Totals 4/175 (40)
Current (4.37 per over) - 218
5.0 Per over - 225
6.0 Per over - 235
7.0 Per over - 245
8.0 Per over - 255

The Captain Falters - India 5/178 (40.5)

Indian captain Rahul Dravid fell in the chase for quick runs in the remaining overs to leave India struggling at 5/178 after 41 overs of play at the MCG. Dravid was caught by Brett Lee at square leg off the bowling of Andrew Symonds to fall one run short of his half century.

Dravids innings lasted 88 balls and consisted of 4 boundaries in an knock used to hold the tourists innings together, however Symonds' first wicket of the match now brings Yuvraj Singh to the crease with Mohammed Kaif (7*).

Big wicket for Australia.
But Yuvraj needs to start hitting straight away so could be a few more wickets tumbling now!

India in trouble! good presentation as always!

Good spell from Bracken. Australia are well in control of this match now.

178/5 ....Aussies on top at the moment and they can restrict India to 240 now .....also i love the Bracken and Dravid image truely awesome work

Hogg Skittles Kaif - India 6/180 (41.3)

Brad Hogg put a further dint in the hopes of Indian cricket fans with the wicket of middle order batsman Mohammad Kaif for only 7 from 12 balls to reduce India to 6/180 in the 42nd over of play.

Hogg beat Kaif with drift as the classy number 6 batsman advanced down the pitch to play Hogg to deep mid on. Hogg picking up his 2nd wicket of the match to claim match figures of 2/37 from 7.3 overs. India will now rely on Yuvraj Singh and all rounder Irfan Pathan, however a score of 250 is looking further and further away.
