Lee Closes The Deal - India 10/198

Brett Lee put the final nail in the Indian batting coffin as the home side rattled the tourists for only 198 in the VB Series final. Lee claimed the final wicket of Sreesanth for just the 1 run as India were bowled out after facing only 46.2 overs of quality Australian bowling.

Brad Hogg starred for the home side with 4/47 from 9 overs while Shaun Tait and Brett Lee both picked up 2 wickets. The leadership team of Rahul Dravid (49) and Virender Sehwag (45) were the main contributers with the bat for India.

Thats the excellent description that depicts the entire scenario! :clap
May be Pathan with his movement and Munaf with his line ( McGrath like line ;) ) can trouble Aussies but the total is too low to defend! :(

Nice presentation as always mate! ( liked the buttonise effect the most :) )

Australia Begin Chase

Australia's new opening pairing of Adam Gilchrist and Phil Jacques have taken to the field to prepare for a 199 run chase at the MCG. Jacques is playing only his third game for his country after debuting with scores of 29 (vs India at in the Twenty20 match in Brisbane) and 13 (vs Pakistan at Sydney).

Left arm seamer Irfan Pathan is set to take the new ball for India with young right arm tearaway Sreesanth as Australia look to score at 3.98 runs per over.

Jacques Gets Early Scare

Phil Jacques received an early scare from Sreesanth after a huge appeal from the Indian fielders following a close LBW appeal in the second over of play was turned down. Jacques, still yet to score, looked to score off the leg side before the ball thundered into his pads, the fact that it landed fractionally outside the left handers leg stump. Jacques has appeared to start very nervously in such an important innings for the inexperienced opener.

(Nine tracker shows that it was a correct decision)

Lets see what Indian bowlers can do now.. Its really hard to defend this low total.... Aussies are looking favourites here! Great presentation as always :clap

Nerves Ruin Jacques - Australia 1/11 (5.0)

The pressure of a competition final and a sluggish start appeared to get the better of left handed opener Phil Jacques as Australia lost its first wicket for 11 off 5 tight overs at the MCG under lights.

Jacques could manage only 4 runs from 11 balls before pushing a drive to mid off and setting off for a quick single, however Indian captain Rahul Dravid threw the stumps down to leave Jacques stranded still 10cms from his crease and Australia under early pressure. It has been a very slow and nervous opening from the world champions, scoring at just better than 2 runs per over.

You are good in Mathematics i guess ;):p

This is what Aussies dont need i.e Sacrificing the wicket like that! But still Gilli is there... One firing over is enough to take the pressure off from Aussies!

Amazing Presentation! :clap

Oh Jaques why did you run yourself out :(
Thats a dam slow start when we have those two opening, hopefully Gilly picks up the pace.
