Ponting Gets Aussies Back On Track - Australia 1/38 (10)

Australian captain Ricky Ponting sparked an improved effort from the home side with an unbeaten 18 from 19 balls to lift Austrlaia to 1/38 from 10 overs at the MCG. The opening pairing of Adam Gilchrist (15* from 30 balls) and Phil Jacques (4 from 11 balls) originally started very slowly, at one stage being 1/11 from 5 overs.

Ponting has looked in great form, striking 3 boundaries in his 19 ball innings to help lift the tempo to the 4 runs per over needed to win the final.

Adam Gilchrist is starting to find the middle of the bat after a very cagey opening exchange against opening bowlers Sreesanth and Irfan Pathan.

A. Gilchrist 15* (30)

Both of these batsmen have started now... Indians managed to contain them for first ten overs but shdn't have allowed them (Gilli & Ricky ) to settle! Nice presentation mate!

Extra info :-

This really makes me to remember the original Carlton & United Series match played between India and Australia ( Same teams as in story: Ind,Aus,Pak)! In the real match, Aussies were chasing the similar low total of 101 ...There, Srinath n Venkatesh Prasad really threatened Aussies by taking 5 quick wickets for 59 in first 20 Overs! Both bowled a continuous spell of 10 overs each ,taking 5 wickets ( Srinath : 4/30 and Parasad : 1/29 )! I thought India wud win that and then Ganguly came and bowled and match was finished quickly taking Aussies to victory :p

Australia back on track now. If they continue without losing wickets then they will win this match.

Gilchrist Survives Shout

Adam Gilchrist survived a loud appeal from Irfan Pathan in the 19th over as Australia reached 1/85 in reply to Indias 10/198. Pathan was extremely close to dismissing Australias most attacking one day batsman, however he was undone with late away swing, appearing to just miss off stump.

I never expected Pathan to bowl so well... wow theres been a little fight inspite of the low total! Thats the spirit.. :) But still Aussies have comfortable chance of winning as the wicket column just shows only "one" there!

Once again great work in dispalying the line of the ball :clap Great presentation as always!

Ponting In Control - Australia 1/85 (20)

Ricky Ponting has continued his impressive one day season with an unbeaten 41 from 47 balls to take Australia to 1/85 from the opening 20 overs as they look to chase down the 199 required for victory. Ponting has been the leading light for a struggling batting performance from the home side, scoring 5 boundaries in his innings. Adam Gilchrist has been cautious in his approach to the final, scoring 38 from a lengthy 62 balls.

The Australians are currently scoring at a rate of 4.25 an over, leaving the home side 114 runs to win from the remaining 30 overs at 3.8 an over.

India 10/199 (20)

Australia 1/85 (20)

I. Pathan 0/36 (9)

wow, nice comparison in the graph & nice Ponting screen also! Its clear Aussies started moving ahead of India now! Suprise to see Gilchrist calm :D

This is should be a walk in the park for the Aussies here.

Good innings by Ponting so far. Gilchrist supporting Ponting well.

Great work by Punter (as usual) along with Gilly in resurrecting the Australian innings.

Top stuff MWaugh :)

Gilchrist Falls - Australia 2/91 (21.3)

Irfan Pathan made the crucial breakthrough for India with the dismissal of opening batsman Adam Gilchrist for a 69 ball 39 as Australia lost their second wicket, with the score at 91.

Pathan teamed up with Sachin Tendulkar to dismiss Gilchrist, after Gilchrist attempted to blaze one through the point region but could only find the safe hands of India's premier player.

oh no :( This is what happens when Gilli try to slow down but 39 is good supporting score for Ponting!
But still Aussies are on victory platform unless some magic like hattrick takes place :D

Like the background style u use for the images! It suits well! Nice stuff again!

Symonds Gone In Same Over - Australia 3/95 (22)

Irfan Pathan completed a crucial over for India, and sadly his last of the match as he dismissed Andrew Symonds with his final ball of his Australian campaign. After sending his first ball to the fence for a boundary, Symonds was trapped in front from his second ball.

The decision appears to be one of some contention, with the ball pitching very close to outside the Queenslanders leg stump (indicated by the red circle). However the finger was raised and Australia are now 3 wickets down with 95 on the board.

now they require big partnership.....good bowling pathan
nice presentation mate keep on
