Well the home side are in deep trouble, but I expect them to find a way out of this. As far as McGrath's spell is concerned, well its simply sensational. He does it yet again.
Shaun Tait took his first wicket in international one day cricket when he dismissed Ashwell Prince to leave South Africa at 5/105 after 25 overs of the 3rd ODI.
Tait claimed Prince with a short ball that stayed rather low which produced a top edge from Prince, who skied the ball to Ricky Ponting at square leg. South Africa will now rely on wicketkeeper Mark Boucher, Boeta Dippenaar and vice captain Shaun Pollock to steer themselves to a stronger total.
South Africa continued their fight to save the 3rd One Day International as they struggled to 5/119 from 30 overs at Cape Town against Australia. Boeta Dippenaar (44 not out) and Mark Boucher (7 not out) must stay around to ensure that South Africa bat out their 50 overs and reach a reasonable target.
Boeta Dippenaar showed the fight that was needed at the top of the South African batting order as he clocked up his first half century of the series to take South Africa to 5/135.
Dippenaar made his 50 off a lengthy 73 balls as he provided the stabilising role in the proteas first innings.
