Well i want to thank Tasmania for choosing to play for them
my immediate goal would be to get settled down in the team as soon as possible and and finish off the goals that are assigned to me by my captain

I feel very honoured to be given this great chance by South Australia. Hopefully I'll be able to have a positive impact on the team and score lots of runs for them. I would also just like to give a special thanks to the coach for allowing me to have this chance. I won't let you down.

Seccombe Thanks Queensland

Earlier today Freddie Alexander Seccombe went public on his thoughts and opinions about the Queensland side. The young all rounder was very grateful and made had a quick word on his thoughts for the up and coming season

Freddie Seccombe:
I would first like to thank the Queensland selectors and management team for introducing me to such a wonderful club. I am very much looking forward to being able to be part of the club and help them in their games this year.

My personal goals are simple,
- I would like to get to know the side and become friends with the players
- I would like to get myself into the first team in all forms of the game and stay there
- I would like to be able to retain my contract with the side for next year

I am very much like to thank the side for the oppurtunity and am looking forward to the coming season.

One thing If everyone is interested, if people can comment about there personal thoughts about how they performed during each game (dosnt have to be every game), Maybe talk themselves up before a match agints a rival rookie? if so make sure you put you team logo up the top so we know who is in what team. Also spots will be up for grabs for Australia A and possibly Australia

3 spots still left

Nice update Freddiw
:cheers

Rookie Draft Selection
Round 1 complete

What a round we had here this evening, lets recap on who went where in each club.

Queensland were the first to pick and they choose the young All Rounder Freddie Seccombe (Freddiw), this young bloke has performed well for his junior club for the last couple of years, promising middle order batsman who is very handy with the ball also.

South Australia picked the young aggresive wicket keeper batsman Tom Baker (Highlander999) who also like to open the innings in the od arena, this is a good pick for South Australia after there batting department had a ver ordinary year, this guy is one to watch.

Tasmania were the next club to pick and they too went for an All Rounder in Ajay Bhat (ajay.bhat), not to much is known abouth this young guy except that he was born in India but grew up in Australia and has been playing his cricket in the Victorian club scene. There has to be something about this guy for Tasmania to pick him up first.

Western Australia picked up Shantanu Ambekar (shantanu rooney) another All Rounder, this should be Interesting to see when this young lad come up againts Freddie Seccombe (Freddiw) as these too were rivals againts each other through club level and at the 2006 u19 world cup, very explosive player.

Victoria were 2nd last to choose in round 1 and have gone with Tobie Chapman (tobes) who preferd position is Opener Keeper, this young left hand batter is in the same style as the recently retired Adam Gilchrist and has got the backing from the great man to be a future star, there is nothing better for a young guy to hear, but lets hope that dosn't go to his head.:p

New South Wales were the last to pick in round 1 and have gone with the left arm chinaman Ross Burden (iloveireland) this guy has averaged below 20 in club level for the past couple of years and has a wide array of special balls to keep the batsman honest.

There you have it Round 1 next up Round 2 see you then

Today, Victoria's #1 pick young Wicketkeeper batsman, Tobie Chapman released a short statement about being picked up.

I'm very honoured to be picked up by the Bushrangers in the first round, it has always been my dream to play for them at State level. This year is a settling in year but Ido have a couple of goals.
- Play atleast one Pura Cup and Ford Ranger cup match.
- Make a 50 in either.
- Beat New South Wales and South Australia

Once again, thank you very much to Cricket Victoria and the Bushrangers.

Iloveireland's opening thoughts

Being Victorian I would of liked being a Victorian player but it seems my 2nd favourite team picked me up. I dont think I am the right player for the Vic team and I hope I can help NSW get to the top!!
