I can't believe how poor they are. India has to play against a team that couldn't beat Ireland, so we have to push our whole schedule into March just to make the Indians comfortable. Now the home team are put behind the away team because India need to play their series at the same time as our normal schedule. Once again India proves they are bigger than the game.

In case you don't understand why I'm angry, first off the Boxing Day is now the 1st of 4 tests, which will end on the 28th of January, usually the time of the end of the oversized Tri Series. Now that Series starts at the beginning of our school term, meaning that almost every Australia who works or goes to school will struggle to catch most games. On top of all this, it also cuts into AFL season which will hurt the game's crowds and leave fans forced to choose one or the other. It also means that the bulk of the season of this summer sport will be played in Autumn.

If India are so busy let them come again another time, or give Sri Lanka 3 or 4 tests, and take away from India's. I sent an email to Cricket Australia, fooloishly thinking they would answer me. They sent back an explanation of how India is busy because of the Twenty20 World Cup. Of course they ignored the bulk of my email. In fact they answered none of my questions.

On top of that, the SCG and Adelaide Oval get both Chappell Hadlee Series matches and Comm Bank Series finals, and the MCG, the countries premier venue, plus the WACA, which hasn't had anything in over two years, get neither.

a joke that the MCG don't get a final, what a waste of a venue. It has the most seats by a long way and is the home of sport/cricket in Australia if not the world.

The MCG would easily be the best cricket ground in the world, if not THE best sports ground in the world. To deny it a final, when the SCG has had 3 in a row (at least) and the MCG now will have had 1 in 3, is ridiculous. Even Adelaide has had 2 in 3 now, same with the GABBA. Yet no one cares about the biggest ground in Australia, or the WACA. That neither get Chappell Hadlee either as compensation shows that CA are trying very hard to beat the AFL as worst governing bodies in sport.

That is one stuffed up schedule. Boxing day to be the start of the series hmmm, guess it works in getting the series of to a flyer but it pushes everything forward a month which is just plain weird. Hopefully the winter sports don't start early last thing I want is clashes.

Wonder what they are doing not giving the MCG a final like they usually do.

This is ridiculous the schedule should be customised to the home team which is part of the home team advantage

well the season still starts in novenber its just against sri lanka. i think this is going to be the best summer ever with three teams touring and test matches and odis mixed up so you don't get bored of one thing then another. and they probably not using the mcg coz the footy is at the mcg and as the cricket season ends at aabout round two this means they can't coz you can't have a pitch in the middle of a footy field

Well its pretty insulting tbh. Am sure SL would've loved to have a 3 test series. Their being treated like Bangladesh and ZIM. the last time SL got a 3 test series in the aus summer was 95/96. 12 years ago!!!!!!!! shocking.

They're not mixed up, they're the same as every year, only much later.

That Tri-series involving SL, IND and AU will be one hell of a boredom. Indians have hardly done any wonders in Aus and will, in fact get soundly thrashed by both SL and local A teams.

i mean theres a mix. you have test matches then some odis then more tests them more odis. which means you get a mixture and not just 1 month of one thing and 1 month of another

You think it is a boredom then that's because of you and only you. Mark my words India will surely win that tri series.

We get to play 7 ODIs this summer against India, how fun...
Yeah i know it's not fun Losing all the time. I don't want to insult anyone's reputation but man remember last time england and India ODI series in India ....

The comment was nothing to do with us losing all the time more to do with the fact it's 2 games too long. I understand that as they didn't want to play a 20-20 they got 7 of the summers 10 ODIs rather than 5 (which is how it should be).

You're being very optimistic handsome, both Australia and Sri lanka are better sides than India.

a certain hypocrisy there,

so india and pakistan should schedule their tours to accomodate australia but australia dont have to do the same?

india and pakistan arent forcing australia to play these matches
they dissed the aussie board by asking SA to take their place on the ireland series and even then the aussie board seem reluctant to do anything,

its sort of like america and britain but this time its cricket

What team has really done wonders in Australia? And you must have been sleeping all throughout 2003 (or was it 2004) when we almost won the test series. :D

Also, I'm not sure what the anger towards India is for. I checked the ICC Calendar and the last possible schedule I could see for India before the Australia series is September 24 (which is the Twenty20 final that we will not be qualifying to). Is there something here that I missed? Who are we playing that couldn't beat Ireland that this would mess up our schedule? We are playing Bangla in less than a month and I don't see a scheduled series against Pakistan anytime soon, either.
