These are worrying signs for Bangladesh as ODIs are normally the format where they can go toe to toe with the biggest teams. I do know that they are missing a few key names but they need some more quality depth. Not been a good time for Shoriful out there too.

Raza has been sublime for sometime now. Not easy to chase nearly 300 when you’re 4 down for 49. Chakabva was brilliant too. Shame on the ICC for ensuring that a side as good as this will probably miss out on a World Cup due to their silly format.

This is absolutely brilliant from Zimbabwe.

And boy Sikander Raza is in form.

With KL Rahul incharge of the Indian XI in the upcoming series hope they smash India 3-0 as well.
What are you talking about? Shikhi is the captain! KL is not even in the squad. Please do not ban me from watching another series. IFKYK

So, Tamim Iqbal to be sacked after this? Wouldn't put it past the BCB Chairman to not to do this :laughter:

That apart, I think Zimbabwe have turned up with an entirely different mindset that was missing in their arsenal since the glory days of 1999. Understand, they've only played Bangladesh- however the WT20 qualification seems to have really pumped them up. If Sikander Raza and the others continue this glorious run, I'm sure we are going to see a few upsets in Australia.

Dave Hughton looks like he is doing good things with this team. The homecoming of Ballance should also boost this side, racism notwithstanding. If they can tempt some of the other blokes in the county circuit to represent the national side again, they would have a side that should be good enough to hold their forte at home against the second tier test sides.

At this point Bangladesh should seriously play Afif and drop Mahmudullah if they have to choose between them. The latter looks shot.
