BBC suspend Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross

I agree with Phill and Duded. Not many were actually offended, people just jumped on the media bandwagon after it happened.

Besides, Brand doesn't need the job at the BBC. He makes a pittance from that compared to what he gets from Ponderland and his stand up tours. The BBC either won't have the stones to fire Ross or he'll just walk into a big money contract with ITV or Channel 4. Pretty simple.

Does anyone actually care anyway!? Hopefully might get the TV license cheaper if they make ross resign :P Im sure Brand will do quite well out of this. Also the government can start criticising when they sort things out until then they should be working 24/7 digging us out of this hole.

I'd say the split of complainers is 50/50 between daily mail reactionaries and people who are maliciously trying to get at Russell brand.

I like Russell Brand, I thought he was a pompous idiot before actually watching his Stand Up show that was shown on Channel 4 a few weeks back. He's actually a bloody funny bloke, and I really enjoyed his stand-up. This was another very funny moment as well, and I think the only reason people are bothered is because it's on a mainstream Radio Station. Gervais' show on XFM was far more offensive, constantly talking about the Gay community, the chinese, and other random subjects, but because it wasn't a big station nobody cared.

Also, BBC won't sack Wossy. He's a ledge, his show is brilliant, the one with Gervais and Sarah Silverman a couple of weeks back was genius. Ruined by having Razorlight on at the end, but before then it was superb. Wossy would get snapped right up by either ITV or Channel 4 if he got sacked, if Al Murray can get a chat show on ITV then Wossy's more than deserving of one.

As a regular Radio 2 listener, I actually didn't mind Wossy but never really listened to Brand. No loss that he's gone and I wouldn't exactly call £200000 per year a pittance!!!

In The Sun the other day she was claiming that Brand did an impression of Sachs when they were having sex. Complete rubbish, if she's going to make up lies, at least make them believable.

It doesn't. I was just expressing my utter dislike for her. She claims to be massively offended by the whole thing, but yet goes on to give details about her night with Brand and how he did an impression of Sachs during the Sechs. . I think the BBC are to fault anyway, they have 3 days to check the stuff that was recorded, this wasn't broadcast live, so it's really the BBC's fault for not editing the whole thing. They could have removed it from the show and just given Ross and Brand a slap on the wrist, but were idiotic enough to leave it in.
