Trent Johnston is a 34 year old medium pacer, he has no future and nor is he any good.

He is pretty good.

Bangladesh are still a side filled with brilliant talent, 2007 was their best year I feel. When Dav Whatmore left, everything went downhill, and it didn't help that talent like Nazimuddin, Aftab Ahmed, Alok Kapali and Farhad Reza went off to the ICL. They were more or less established in the team and for the future of Bangladesh when they left.

They still have a very strong side in terms of talent. Shakib, Razzak, Mortaza, Rahim are all players who could be considered Test quality. Rubel, Raqibul, Shadat, Rasel, Tamim, Junaid and Mahmadullah are all very talented, and we might as well toss Ashraful's name in their although he should be considered a bonafide waste of talent. They aren't lacking for ability, they need a lot more discipline and a lot more experience. Under Dav Whatmore they showed a lot of discipline and consistency, right before he left. That was a big mistake I feel. It doesn't help that Bangladesh barely play any international cricket, and as a result you'll see the players comitting the same mistake over and over, and it gets really frustrating.

Better than just dumping Bangladesh, put some effort into making sure they play more cricket and help them develop more consistency.

Of course Ireland. Afghanistan is also a better side. I don't know when my team Oman will qualify for Asia Cup at least.. :upray

Kenya are best in associates. Had they got the kind of support Bangladesh got they would have been good ODI side. Remember they are world cup semi finalist.

They were, but they went downhill really quickly. Like you said the ICC didn't help them out too much though.

I think Ireland in this team has lots of talented player Ireland have nice future.

That World Cup exaggerated their actual ability somewhat. The situation in Zimbabwe led to England and New Zealand forfeiting their matches in that country, setting forth a rather fantastic experiment of causality which eventually did come back to bite NZ as they were unable to find substitute wins in the Super Six against Australia or India.

Kenya did manage one feat, that of beating fellow semi-finalist Sri Lanka, but they too were somewhat flattered by their result. Australia won 11 matches straight, while India won 9 (only conceding their games against Australia). Kenya and Sri Lanka each won only 5 from 10.

The one problem that Ireland have is that they have no proper domestic set up if I'm correct? Otherwise they wouldn't be playing in the FP trophy in the English System. The next problem is that even though they are in the FP trophy they still can barely beat the county sides. Although people say its because some of their best player go and play in the county sides that means they dont have the strength in depth which is needed.
