Nvidia is always preferable over ATI in terms of games ....

because of better compatibility with microsoft direct x ...
That simply isn't true. If you're buying current generation then Nvidia are better simply because ATI haven't released yet. If you're buying last generation then I would say ATI are better in general.

@ankit i downloaded what u said n this is my epandable slots now tell me what 2 do 3 pci slots heres the screen shot

ATI would be the winner in extreme performance with the launch of R600 . However in the mid range market ( which is the most selling one ) , nvidia still comes to be the winner at Performance - price ratios ;) with its 7600 GS and GT's and even 6600GT.

Only exception here is palit 's X1600pro which comes cheaper. Other than that ATI cards have higher ratio of price - performance :)

Good Cards For BLIC (AGP Only)

If you can run a pci card, it will cost you less than its agp equivalent.

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1650 PRO 512MB AGP

http://www.techfever.co.uk/products.asp?partno=237227

?80.70 including vat.

A cheaper alternative.

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1550 256MB 8x AGP

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?SAP-X1550A

?57.58 including vat.

If you game above 1280x1024 you may need the 512mb version, which is just a little more expensive.

?69.33

what you do not have agp slot  are you sure ? It has to be there ;) clik on display and display adapters and see there also. see the tips in bottom, what is written there. I am sure you must have agp slot.

it has only 2-3 pci slot. what is your motherboard model ?

Yes PCI card will work ;) that geforce fx 52000 will also work. But it will not be very fast. agp cards are much faster. even my old Pentium-II had agp slot. you have p4 1.8 same i also have :p and agp slot is there :)

can you find your motherboard model. even click on system in dxdiag it will show system model number(below system manufacture). I think you may have agp slot also

OMG that is so strange  manufacture are kobian :what ???( it should be intel motherboard or may be sis, kobian i am seeing it first time) and only 3 pci slots that is very strange.

BUt if you do not have agp slot then pci card is your only solution  I also saw fx 5700 pci card but not sure about performance, it will be good but how much i do not know.

well u an indian na neways i think i just cant play brian lara 07 coz i cant afford a new mother board n pci cards r they good enough 2 play brian lara

well it is very difficult to recommend pci cards because they are old and very rare. SO do not know how good it is, sorry  It will definitely allow you to play but I never had pci card or my friends so it is very difficult to say.

if you can get it at cheap price you can try it ;). But do not expect too much because i have fx 5200 agp card P4 1.8 and 768mb ram demo runs ok in my PC not very smoothlly. may be full version on low setting will work smoothly in low settings :)

Yes, of course I am from Inida :D
