Best Nightwatchman in the history of test cricket

Jason Gillespie. He is a legend. James Anderson is also getting there although I doubt he will ever make a double hundred.
 
Hard to look past Jason Gillespie. Not only because of his epic knock against Bangladesh but he was a very intent type of batsman with rock solid defence, and if I can recall reading an article about him he averaged 51 minutes at the crease in tests which is quite amazing. He really was a batsman who could build partnerships and he worked tirelessly at infuriating bowling attacks.

At any rate, he was a pretty good No. 8 batsman.
