Big Ant working on Cricket Game

Don't get your hopes too high up for graphics.

Totally agree here.

If you are looking for next generation graphics, don't be upset if it isn't to the standard of IC2010.

But gameplay wise, I think it should be better than IC2010.

Playing Rugby League Live, the gameplay was fantastic but the graphics were weak compared to FIFA 10, IC2010 etc. Online worked which was an added bonus to the gameplay.

I'm not too confident about the PS Move and 3D Graphics. It doesn't really apply to me since I use a XBOX 360.

I would have preferred licensed teams, competitions similar to EA Cricket 2004.
To me EA Cricket 2004 was my favorite cricket game because of all the licensed stadiums, teams and create a player was great. Graphics were good for those times. Also the AI were excellent. Also there were so many tours/competitions.

I never played Cricket 05 but I did hear good things about it.
I did play Cricket 07 but was disappointed about the gameplay.

But I am looking forward to see what Big Ant Studios can achieve with cricket.
Good communication to their customers, updates on how the game is progressing and a forum on their website should be essential for a successful game.

I'm surprised that they are expected the game to be released so soon since they adding PS3 Move & 3D Support. I hope they aren't rushing the game......

Oh well, at least I still have Medal of Honor and COD Black Ops to keep me up until Big Ant Studios release the cricket game. :)

We must have similar tastes. I have downloaded the PC beta for Medal of Honor. Just waiting for the October 4-7 trial period to start. Hanging out for Black Ops too (and intrigued by the Dead Ops zombie mode rumour).

It's not a rumour, it's confirmed

All the best to Big Ant. :D

i just hope it comes out on PC ; though the chances are almost NIL. :(

Just asked Ross Symons, the CEO of Bigant this question.

How confident are you guys in how Cricket will come across with move?.

His Response;

"Being 100% honest - The Batting, completely confident - the Bowling we are trying lots of things but hard to simulate without a run-up, so it won't be as close to a sim as the batting".

Hope this gives a slight insight as to how the games direction may be heading.

Here is my response to his comments; (got a bit excited lol)

So you're telling me the batting will be as close to real life as humanly possible and we'll be able to play all different types of shots and the ball will react accordingly depending on the type of bowler and his speed?...in other words I'll be able to do the Tendulkar loft a bouncer over the keepers head for four off a quickie if I get good enough?... or play a leg glance to a leg side delivery or edge one between a vacant slip for runs.....things like that?.

If so...I'll cream my pants to put it as politely as I can LOL!.

The bowling would obviously be a toughie, all I ask is if possible, your arm speed should match the on screen player delivering the ball, I want to be able to play against someone with only the ability he has in real life using the Move controller not against someone using a pre chosen player that can chuck the ball at 120 mph.

I think online would be so awesome just to be able to play someone with their own real abilities, so batting would be totally my control as well as bowling. It would be a true contest of who really has the best abilities with both disciplines and not to forget fielding!. No idea how you guys have gone about this with move but I know I could be in for a world of pain if I don't get fit to play this game LOL!!!...espescially going by how some people are experiencing discomfort from playing Sports Champions for long periods.

I'm now waiting for another reply...

Is this the same Radman on the Sidhe Forums ? If so hi lol

So Radman will u be on the AFL forum too lol hehehe

BTW: Hi Ross will HES or Big Ant bring out a Cricket PC version ? I know your there lol

It should be OUT in the Australian Summer which is DEC to FEB so take a guess & this is just for the consoles, I hope PC version comes out a few months later :D & I hope its Windows LIVE for Online Play the 1st for any Cricket game.

Codemasters should be worried & this is only good for the customer

I think companies realise how much $$$$ they can make from a good Cricket game, the amount of ppl who play is HUGE

cheers

btw: Go the Aussies in India oi oi oi

I just hope they release something soon, such as screenshots or a gameplay video, to bolster our confidence. Hopefully it will be something fresh and rich in potential, even if the graphics aren't that mind-blowing.
