So I caught the highlights of today's BBL game, and was shocked to see Beau Webster has turned himself into a seamer. And judging by the fact that his first three overs didn't even appear in the highlights, and that he was trusted to bowl the last over (and delivered a very good one), he's quite good at it. Fascinating development

And he's now batting three. This man is cricket's version of Andrew Romine.

In the shower I was thinking about what would be the most BBL XI, and I think I have an answer:

1. D'Arcy Short
2. Matt Short
3. Chris Lynn
4. James Vince
5. Jordan Silk
6. Jimmy Pierson
7. Chris Green
8. Rashid Khan
9. Nathan Coulter-Nile
10. Ben Dwarshuis
11. Henry Thornton

I believe this team has everything, but there are some players who miss out. Sean Abbott misses out because not many other players replicate his role in the team, while Steve O'Keefe misses out because I still wanted three seamers (one semi-retired, one left-arm, one fast). The batting more or less picked itself until the tricky choice between Jono Wells and Jordan Silk as non-hitting middle-order hitter.
