Marizanne Kapp's just won a bbq for being player of the match in the final.
I mean if they did that there would be more money thrown around, but the central ownership of teams is one of the things that had stopped the league from fizzling out after c. three seasonsMay be franchise model/ foreign investors could solve the salary caps issue.

As a strikers fan I would have loved to see Faf du Plessis batting for the strikers. A couple of unanticipated names from the draft (Izharulhaq Naveed & Akeal Hosein) will be interesting to watch.
Its a pretty bold move from him, Boult and Neesham asked the board to not renew their contracts specifically .Just noticed de Grandhomme being picked. New Zealand’s home season takes place during the same time and he is a centrally contracted player. Will he be doing a Boult and giving up his contract then?

I think CDG saw the Boult situation and just thought that if he did get picked he would just give up his contract but it's going to be much trickier than that. Technically NZC can take him to court if goes ahead with the bbl plan I think
And now they're already down three out of eight first round picks (Livingstone, Evans, Willey)Don't feel like this draft has gone to plan for Cricket Australia at all. A bunch of teams seemingly already filled up their salary caps and are passing on picks
It isn't exactly brilliant, but certainly two of those three (Livingstone becoming an all-formats player for England and Evans testing positive for drugs) were unforeseen, and I'm definitely not one to blame them for that. And now they're already down three out of eight first round picks (Livingstone, Evans, Willey)
So this is going really well. Ben Manenti and Clive Rose can do no wrong
