From what they say ea cricket 2005 is better than blic 2005. I'm not really surprised. But we'll have to play the games on our own to find out. [they called some bugs in Blic 2005.]

That's a bit surprising but oh well - it's not that bad. The other two reviews I've heard about so far are both 8/10s, and both say they're better than C2005. I think it's going to be love one, hate the other on the reviews...

There is just one thing I wish games magazines would do when reviewing a game. Actually get people to review a cartain (cricket in this case) kind of game that they have a interest in! It's no good getting a football game fan reviewing a cricket game, or a hockey fan reviewing a motorsport game.

Er, not the best review I've ever read.

I enjoyed the bowling in the demo a lot and I certainly didn't find it "boringly hard".

This review is almost as bad as the Cricket 2005 one that dubbed Michael Holding a "jobbing fast bowler".

bloc is far better going by the demos , theres so much going on in bloc , just like what would happen on a cricket pitch, codemasters have got a feel for cricket , admittedly there some glitches but it basically plays a good game , and maybe the mag reviewer yet again is not a cricket fan,
i am getting cricket 2005 tomorrow , i bet it will be blc i will be playing in 6months time not cricket 2005 graham

A very poor review as far as I can tell and agree with what people have said above. They've blatantly (a) got a non-cricket fan to review a cricket game, we all know its a sport you either love or hate so putting someone who hates cricket on the game is terrible and (b) they've clearly received a rather large brown envelope from EA to say that Cricket 2005 is better.

You generally buy a sports game for the multiplayer don't u?! And BLIC is fantastic fun in multiplayer. The guys here in the testing dept have had several tournaments on BLIC and its caused numerous laughs etc, that to me warrants the money u pay alone.

I don't think the reviewer has paid much attention to the game either......I've yet to find this "Double Cricket" mode he speaks of..........its Double Wicket you fool lol. And since when have the 2 ICC trophies been "minor licences"?? I'd have said they were the 2 MAIN events in the cricketing world calender!!


Right, thats my tuppence worth for now........not bad for my first posting on these forums lol
