India 246-0 BEAT Australia 245-8 by 10 wickets
After Australia had posted a competitive score of 246 to win the Indian openers, Sehwag and Tendulkar walked out to bat. Despite being in terrific form in the first match Sehwag seemed very out of touch. He struggled with the pace of lee and tait and found it hard to score runs. This left most of the burden with Tendulkar to score runs.
However he too looked off colour and only 49 runs were scored off the first 5 overs. It looked unlikely that India would be able to save the match. However as dusk drew in Tendulkar started to play his shots. He guided, placed and purely struck balls to all parts of the ground.
The run rate flew up and India were back in the match. Ponting brought back his young firebrand Tait and the seasoned McGrath to try and strangle the life out of the Little Master but not only were they dealt with, but were seen off in style as not only Tendulkar but Sehwag started to make it look ominous for the Australians.
The match was finished by a towering 6 by Sehwag down the ground off the last ball of the 18th over.
The Indians had won by 10 wickets - a fantastic result.
