BLIC - Report any bugs here

I have a small bug:

All Legspinners(ok, Sarwan) have a small problem in the bowling cursor-the arrow is pointing towards the batsman. This means their defaut delivery is a googly. You have to press either 4/6(I forget) to bowl a proper legspinner. The kicker is that the special delivery is a googly! The leggspinner which you can bowl spins very very less... Same with left are leggies like Hogg(and Lara/Chanderpaul-both of which are actually right arm leggies) The ball should spin into, not away, from righties. I hope this can be fixed...

u can cheat with the field settings. the computer do it aswell when u can put way more and mayb all im not sure outside the circle.

No, Sarwan bowls legspinners it just appears that the ball goes straight, that is because he's at an angle. The ball will spin from leg to off like it is supposed to. Remember sarwan does not spin the ball a lot in real life so hy should he in BLIC

Go round the wicket and see.

Brad Hogg however does bowl like a right arm legspinner, this is a problem. He bowls googlies default and special deliveries of flipper and LEG-SPINNER. Are there bowls that primarily bowl googlies? I s Brad Hogg one of them?

I've finally had a email conversation with the producer of BLIC over bug fixes, glitches, design decisions and everything else brought up by the 'Demo Bug' thread. Sorry it can't be more in-depth than the overview below, but we both wanted to get this reply up on the forum as we don't like to keep you all waiting too long!

So, let's get on with it:

Primarily, looking at some of things flagged up as bugs via the Planet Cricket link - they're not all bugs, as I've mentioned previously. Not all are design decisions, but they were made this way to make sure the game work as well as possible. Such as the wides - this is a design decision. As far as the rules and ICC tell us they are virtually correct, save the allowance for more decent gameplay. These will not be changed in this version of the game. So please bear that in mind - personal/group preference for some other option/idea does not mean that because we've done it a different way it's a bug. We have to cater for all gamers, not just the hardcore.

SOME OF THE OTHER BUGS FLAGGED UP:

The 'fielders bumping into each other' has not been seen in testing for a long time now so rest easy with that one.

The No Balls are better.

Running around the wicket (and spots on the pitch) have been dealt with.

Other things like the speed of the ball being bowled, and bat and ball collision, are much better now and he believes they are the best he's ever seen in a cricket game.

Other rules and gameplay refinements - lots of them, and too many to say about here (simply because we didn't have time to discuss them and they should be more implicit than explicit - they should just make for a more-rounded experience).

----

Of course by putting this up we're opening ourselves up to abuse from the forums if/when problems appear with the launch version - but we have been listening to you and we're happy that you've flagged up some of the same things we have.

But please, no asking "is this still in the game" or "has this been fixed?" because sadly I don't know on the specifics - I don't work for QA so I don't know!

Finally, however, I hope this helps you all to see we do want the best game we can produce and we're really looking forward to the launch of the game next week. And yes, these comments apply to all three formats of the game - PS2, Xbox and PC.

:)

Am I just the first person on these forums to give you reputation points? After I did, you finally went to 2 green bars. Thanks for a good post.

To be honest, there's not much about this game I would change so far, unless I was really fussy. I've played the 50 over demo 5 times and feel good about it. The only thing that really sticks out is that the throws from the fielders should go to the bowlers end sometimes.

I ordered the game from Codies and I hope it reaches my mailbox by the end of the month....looking forward to that.

You misunderstood-his default delivery spins into the right hander, and you have to press 4(I think) to bow a regular legspinner. And he has a googly as a special delivery?

another thing when a lbw appeal is turned down for a left hand batsman the reason given in the hawk is as if the batsman was a right hand one.
like a ball pitched outside the leg stump is said to be pitched outside the off stump.

not much of a bug but still......

4)Is that a bug????!!!!

5)Hitwicket not even in EA...

6/7)NOT Bugs! And they aren't even in EA for the matter...who needs them??

8)Huh??? has it occured to you that you might be bowling no-balls...

9)Did it bounce twice?? No? No noball.

10)Not a bug!! its a six over slog, of course they'll be agressive! Set the right fields and throw on the line and you can get run outs...

12)Is that a bug...

13)You said this before as well...

14)Overthrows? What use are they...

15)Only for CPU(test rule). Much tigher for human players. Meant to prevent you from bowling a negative line in tests.

16)Did you bowl him at all??? Were they legal deliveries??

OH god this guys funny
Mods, you have to ban this guys IP, he's joined as at least two people :mad

I Bowled Damien Martyn Three Times Through Swing Ball Of Darren Gough But He Was Not Out All 3 Times
