Siddle has comeback well with this old ball, was ???? after lunch but this spell was brilliant. Was going to say how we needed a Zaheer spell and Siddle produced it.

India need to play till tea tomorrow to get a decent lead. Lets hope Laxman gets into his superman mode as he often does against Australia.

No. As much as I am totally depressed by that wicket of Sachin (I was expecting that hundred here), Dravid getting that life was a better choice for India. Sachin might be the Master, but Dravid is the Wall.
That innings from Sachin was super close to a magical innings that just didn't get its cherry on the cake (the hundred). He played with such class that the audience at the MCG must have been treated sumptously. Dravid was hot and cold, but Sachin was imperious. His first shot, that six over slip cordon was top class! I wish he had gone on for the sake of us, audiences.... Even the Aussies must have enjoyed his innings.

No. Laxman is the 2nd innings guy. I dont really expect him to turn up tomorrow. I think either Kohli or Dhoni might turn up tomorrow and get a decent score for themselves (both of them need such a score). The wicket is very good and will continue for most of tomorrow. If we can get a lead of 75+, we should be in a pretty good position. But getting there is going to be tough. Siddle was steaming in during that final session, and old ball here does tricks.
First two days of this series - SUPER!!! Its been quality cricket, not one side dominating the other.
Normally India by this time would be so much on the back foot in the first test of the tour.

Nope. Dravid was far from his best out there. He was allowing bowlers to settle down. Sachin on the other hand was discouraging bowler by his strokeplay. As a fast bowler you dont expect batsman to hit you again and again over the slip without much fuss. That shot is in-your-face shot by a batsman.
@AngryPixel: Yeah, but just watch out... Dravid is a guy to whom you should never ever give such lives. Tendulkar with his flashy style of play always gives you some encouragement that you could get him. But Dravid is a bloke who smothers you and crushes you into submission in tests. I have a feeling he is going to make full use of that life tomorrow.

I know that but still i would rather pay to watch Sachin score big then Dravid
anyone will pay to watch Sachin, but if Dravid plays more 150-200 Balls then india will have a lead of 100 runs. All the batsman which are to follow are stroke-makers and dravid will be perfect partner for them like he was for Sehwag and Sachin today.
Thats the speciality of Dravid, even when he is not in touch he still able to play 100 or more balls.

I know people will be angry that Sachin has not scored his 100th 100 but I am happy he scored 73. Ishant Sharma if can hang around for 30 odd runs partnership with Dravid and then Kohli,Laxman,Dhoni,Ashwin to come I am sure we will be able to give 150 odd runs lead
