Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

@Sifter - You are right that Sehwag looks awkward against the bouncer. Thing is...in cricket it's nigh on impossible to keep peppering someone with bouncers. The bowlers will get tired in no time and the Aussies only have 3 quick men as it is. Whilst it would be a good tactic, it's just not possible to sustain it. Furthermore, the short ball in itself is rarely a wicket taking one when you use it all the time. Sehwag will just duck/leave them all day if you do that. Many many teams have tried bouncing Sehwag out, it's just not that easy.

When it comes to Sachin, well he usually plays it safe and doesn't hook. The upper cut is a much more risk free shot. That's not to say that if you keep bowling bouncers at Sachin he can't play the hook/pull. He definitely does have it in his armory and I do wish that he hooked more often. Watch this innings, where he really takes on Ntini.

Well last 2 overs 2 wickets and 2 maidens :p

This is where we really miss Watson. Instead of Lyon bowling while the new ball bowlers rest up, Watson would be on and he is our best exponent of reverse.

Wonder who is the night watchman here :lol Dhoni not in the greatest form

----------

Dhoni gone. India will be all out for 260 I guess :(

Dhoni doing his best Haddin attempt there.
Wow what a comeback by Hilfy this morning. Mcdermott must have gave him some words.

What the hell. This is disappointing to say the least. Was always on the cards though. India would be looking now for a score of 280, which would still leave them 50 runs behind which is a lot in the context of the game. Would be tough to come back from this and win the match, but I guess got to keep up hope :(.

After 21 years of international cricket it's still Sachin Tendulkar who is the main man in the Indian team. That's not a good sign.

For the non Cricinfo followers, this is a pretty good one:
"Mahamaya: "A limerick to the Terminators: In Melbourne, the terminators landed/ Save Sehwag, they were quickly disbanded/ The Wall was leaky/ That Kohli was iffy/ And poor Ishant was left stranded." "

Needs an extra two syllables in the last line, doesn't it? Maybe "sadly" before "left stranded".
