Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

Holy Moly... Ishant Bowled one around 152 KMPH  He's surely fired up

----------

I guess that first inning howlers are evened out by now. Ponting would have been a goner if there was DRS. Hit in line and hitting middle stump :facepalm

tweaking finally, Ponting survives a big LBW appeal. Only a couple more umpire fearsome tweak ups and we'll be close to even.

DRS Debate ALERT! :D Loving this. Punter caught plumb in front and given not out. It evens up in this test match in terms of decisions so far.

About time we got one back after what happened to Ashwin!

Ponting and Hussey looking the most comfortable, no idea what those guys above them were doing.

Haddin got a reprieve too in the first innings if you remember.

Haddin shouldn't even have been at the crease at that stage. Huss and Cowan would still have been carving that bowling attack apart.

Damn! I missed Hilfys' tremendous spell. I'll have to catch it on highlights now :mad
-----------

Punter and Hussey are both looking comfortable now. Here's hoping Oz manage to put on a good lead. :cheers

Oh and Wasim pointed out that the way the pitch is playing at the moment, even 250 would be hard to chase down.

You never know. Good partnership, nonetheless.

Hussey and Ponting should look to bat out the day and a good couple o' hours tomorrow. That'll put Australia in a good position :D

Would be a welcome change seeing our experienced guys making big runs. Still a long way out from that.

Awesome test match so far! So perfectly swinging both ways. Session 1 went to Australia, Session 2 to India. Mighty impressed with Umesh Yadav, he has been superb so far in this test. With every innings right from his first, he has blossomed like a tree and hope he can be a major answer to India's fast bowling woes over the last few years. Ishant bowling at 150+ is amazing. And his lengths are superb. I think even without Zaheer, Ishant and Yadav can stay on their own and bowl as good.

Hope we dont let Ponting and Huss get away. Anything over 200 is going to be challenging, anything over 250 and India will face a mighty ask.

Hussey's boundary of that pull shot took me back to his heroics in Ashes 2010-11. Absolutely murderous when he plays that shot.

Ponting has always been a bit shaky at the start of his innings, but the problem nowadays is that you can't trust him to go on. That's the major difference between him now and five years ago. Look for him to lose his wicket either after a break, or somewhere around the half century mark. If he doesn't do either of those things, we can start talking about a return to form.
