Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

Hussey`s looked sublime so far and so has Ponting. Another 30 runs and the Indian bowling will lose all sting. Another first test defeat is on now, pity considering how we started. One good thing is that if our bowling attack remains fit right through, we should do well in this series.

Horray passed the 100! Best Ponting and Hussey have looked in ages.

----------

Well played Ponting, now 50 more runs.

These two have surely retained their places for now, at least for the next test match. Not too sure about the pitch but in the morning, was it the Indian bowlers who bowled incredibly well or the pitch was helping them? The pitch seems much easier to bat now, the runs are coming easily but then that could also be because Dhoni's fielding hasn't been really great.

I don't mind Australia getting a lead of 250. We might lose the match but Sachin stands a chance of making a century unless Sehwag has something else in his mind. :spy

The conditions to bat are still really good. In the morning, Australia bowled superbly and then India bowled superbly themselves too, and the new ball is a big help to the bowlers. Now, they have lost steam and Ponting-Huss are taking it away from us. We also have to face the new ball when we bat and by the time we come in to bat, it would be mid of Day 4 (if we let Ponting-Huss and their players bat long). I see a very bleak prospect for an Indian victory here in this test. India might be left with the task of saving the match, and I dont see them doing it.

Can't say I'm surprised sadly. At least Hussey has been able to go on to make a 100. Haddin well there will either be joy or tears.

:noway Ah, well.. I just hope Pontings' dismissal doesn't trigger a collapse. That'd swing the game right back into the hands of the Indian team.

Onus will be on Hussey to make sure things remain steady.

this is what we didn't had in England, Zak the master of reverse swing.

Well done Zaheer. Every time we need breakthroughs, he is the man. Hoping we can keep Australia's lead to below 250.
