Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

High time we get a new batting coach, seem to work for our bowlers once we changed Cooley, no idea what Langer is doing but our batting has fallen to bits.

As for the match, hopefully Pattinson shows more of his batting talents tomorrow, should never been demoted really.

Just checked up on Star Cricket. Where is Harsha Bhogle ? Jason de la Pena just ain't in the same league as him.

This has been a great test match so far. Momentum swung from one side to another every day and even after 3 days its pretty much even. Anyone can win from here.:clap

Hopefully Huss can pick up another 40 or so and Pattinson and Hilfy can chip away 15-20 each and get us around the 300 mark. Can't give the Indians almost 2 days to chase 230-250.

Does anyone else think the speed guns have been a bit dodgy?? I mean Siddle, Pattinson and Yadav are all bowling constant 145k+ and it honestly does not look that quick, more low 140s.

i don't think so. Zak is bowling around 130-135 which is his normal speed.

BTW, The quickest bowl (152.2) of the match is bowled by Ishant Sharma.

The same Ishant Sharma who has barely touched 135ks the last year or so?? I mean I know he was bowling a bit quicker today but some of his spells he was bowling 148-149 for a few overs which definitely seems a bit strange to me.

VVS Laxman failed another time in an away match today. His overseas record this year has been quite poor.:facepalm
From 'Very Very Special' Laxman he has now become 'Very Very Stupid' Laxman!!!!!

it's really bad how many guys have gone well past 50 and failed to go on.

I had a feeling when I went to sleep last night that ponting and hussey would put together a partnership. not sure how given that india were working them over big time when I switched off.

chase of 260ish I reckon. I'd bring kohli up the order, a la pujara back in 2010. he can play the role of a 3 and it lets him come in and play his shots rather than having to stress about being the last man in before the tail should he be needed.

you'd far rather have laxman and the bowlers guiding the end of a tricky case than kohli.

lol...

it looks like you are watching Ishant for first time in your life.. He does bowl above 140 in every match.
In India, he bowled above 140 many times. (3 out of 6 balls) Australia condition suits him and he was charging in every bowl.

Clarke was beaten by the pace of Ishant Sharma and got bowled.

Actually, Ishant has dropped a lot of pace in recent times. From what I've observed, in recent series'(plural) - he has barely been able to clock over 140-145 twice, in one spell.

It surprises me that he managed to get one above 150 clicks.

Well, according to various sources across the internet - he seems to have crossed the 150 mark only one other time.

^ Just thought I'd point that out.

Sehwag says this is the best Indian bowling line up he's played with. I think I agree with him...for the first time there are no weak links in the bowling. All 4 of the bowlers have done really well in keeping up the pressure.

It's imperative that India don't let the last two wickets wag. I have a sneaky feeling the Aussies could end up with a lead of 320+ from here. Hopefully I'm proved wrong. I do think India can chase anything under 300, as Sehwag says. It's still just the 4th day, the pitch is good for batting although it is seaming around. Nathan Lyon's not gonna trouble any of the Indian batsmen.
