Hi Boss,

Have completed the 2nd test match computer vs computer to see if spin bowling problem is there....

Sad to say that yes the spin bowlers in the 2nd innings cause the batting team to collapse, so you may have to tweak it in your next brilliant patch.

Following is a summary of the 2nd Test match...


Patches: Boss's Latest, Boss's Fields latest, Boss's Advance cover drive fix, Sams runout fix.

Pakistan (computer) vs West Indies (computer)

Stadium: Karachi
Conditions: Warm, Sunny, Hard Pitch, No Rain

West Indies won the toss and put Pakistan in to bat.

Pakistan 1st Innings: 301 / 10 All Out, 80 overs, end of play day 1.

West Indies 1st Innings: 173 / 10 All Out, 52 overs, 3:35pm day 2.

Pakistan 2nd innings: 285 / 10 All Out, 80 overs, 3:33pm day 3.

West Indies 2nd Innings: 243 / 10 All Out, 49 overs, day 4.

Once again i was very impressed with the first 3 innings it was a great match plenty for bowlers and batters, pacing through out was excellent.

*things that need attention for next patch*
As with what happened in 1st test match, i had the same happen in the 4th innings (West Innings) on the 4th day.

Danish Kanira (Leg Spinner):
Overs: 4.5
Maidens: 1
Runs: 7
Wickets: 5

as you can see a batting collapse against spinner in 4th Innings again, so this is definately an area that needs redressing in next patch.


Keep up the great work Boss and i will start the 1 Day games now.

wonderful patches you've created man!!
never got a wicket by bowling out the batsman before in a test match , but today, bowled out sehwag on the first ball with alex wharf!!

Hey boss,

the links you have posted "To unleash the AI configs". When I clicked it, it took me to a "SP Hosting blocked" page and immediately my Norton Auto Protect detected a Downloader Trojan horse virus being downloaded to my pc. So, plz look into it and host the file somewhere else. The SP hosting site is a virus site.

Hi Sai!,

I think you are clicking directly on the link!, The server restricted hot-linking, thus if anyone clicks directly it may send a trojan for warning!, so instead of click the link directly use "Save Target As" method and save the configtuto.zip into u'r preferred folder. That will fix it!, Btw what abt my tutorial?, i am expecting u'r comm eagerly!.

(Gen question: Can any one suggest me a Free Web Host Server that allows the "Hot-Linking" future along with FTP Support!, that will be most helpful!, thanks!!)

Thank u Mike 4 u'r timely rev!, Yes!, as u pointed out, generally the CPU tends to lose in 4th inn frequently, have to look at a way to work it out!

hey boss i know this has been answered before but i unfrotunatly dont understand it. i want to replace the tvstyle camera with the default cam as the tvstyle is to far away. i downloaded the lst file i think it is and have copied it to my config folder but i cant work out the next bit to do. any help anyone could give me would be great. i know its been asked a few times before and i feel like a bit of a tool that i dont understand it. thanks

well i find computer tough as they r making easily 230-270 in 50 overs

earlier in the forum i posted that i bowled a team out for 8 in the first innings of a test match. s.macgill 8/0 gillsepie 1/0 and mcgrath 1/4. i wish they played the way yours did

Boss, some review on ur CGPv2rr patch for the ODI's.

India (me) vs South Africa in Australia on a green wicket (Hard Mode)! India opted to bowl.

South Africa 130/3 off 23 overs. They are going along at nearly 6 per over. In the first 15 overs, it was all mayhem as they thrashed the Indian bowlers. After the 15th over, India started spreading the field and the South africans got defensive a bit. But still a few batsman (esp. Kallis) repeatedly came out of the crease to spank a few shots. Got all those 3 wickets after the 15 over restriction. EXCELLENT PATCH!! I get seam movement off the green wicket but still the wickets are not easy to me at all! This is a World Series league match and its working out perfectly. Kudos to you!!

I'm finding i get decent results if I use any other team but Australia,, I used australia again today,, and the same thing,, the cpu just can't score of them,, is there some ratings that determin how well a team plays on ratings or something?

Boss,the work you have put so far to streamline this game is briliant.Can you post your new camera angel in GI format?Besides can you dare to alter some other camera angles especially first person angle to make it bit easier as you have some experience in advance?Keep it up.

Hello Boss,

After not having played Cricket 2004 for months, and after finding that some of the much self-hyped patches did not offer competitive gameplay, I tried your patch. I played as India on a short tour to Australia. The first match was a one-day match against Western Australia on a normal pitch. The CPU batted first and scored 235 all out in 48 overs in really impressive fashion. Even though the total score does not look impressive, the pacing was really excellent and the batsmen did not throw away their wickets. Then I followed up and found myself in trouble at 160 for 8 in 35 overs. I thought I am going to lose the match easily but the CPU set very defensive fields and I was able to easily gather singles and get to 230 for 8 in 46 overs. Now, winning appeared to be a formality, but the CPU struck back with 2 very quick wickets and I ended up at 231 all out after 47 overs. If a county team could play this well, I cannot imagine how well the International teams will play.

After being impressed by Ravi's patches at one point, I am currently thrilled by your patch. This has renewed my interest in Cricket 2004.

No prob mate!, just wait for a day!, i'll release it in GI format!, no fuzz!!!

(any how, the norm inst method is:

To install New TV style Camera : install List.txt(provided with patch) in ConfigEditor v2.0 folder. Now copy the content of tvstylecamera.txt into ConfigEditor v2.0-Camera Settings 3 tab. If u like to un-inst it copy the content of originalcamera.txt into ConfigEditor v2.0-Camera Settings 3 tab. )

As i told earlier, this is a very strange bug!, are u played with RealHardMode or HardMode?, btw u may also send me the cfg file so that i can check it!

Ya mate!, u'r correct!, the team really depends on the TeamRating!(as aussies are rated 92, very hard to beat'em!), for now i don't have a clue how to change the team rating and give'em the run for their money!,(the two potential teams to do so are India and England, atleast in TestMatches!)

more update on that match review with ur patch (India vs South Africa on a green wicket!)

I bowled out SA for 208! They really built very well in the middle overs and went for their shots after the 40th over or so. Thats when I got the wickets!

I started my batting and finished 13 overs and India are 72/4. I was trying various shots and that cost me the first 3 wickets. The 4th wicket was an absolute beauty. Dravid tried to flick a ball on the off side to leg. But the ball seamed way into him and caught him plumb in front! Laxman and Yuvraj are batting, Though I am getting 5.5+ an over, the wickets are falling too at regular intervals. ANd the 15 over restrictions are not off yet! I doubt what run rate would have after the 15 over restriction!! GREAT PATCH FOR THE ODI's!!!
