Buying Don Bradman Cricket 14 in Asia

They dont seem to have the steelbook offer for the xbox edition. At least the website doesn't say so yet.

This is what they have written for someone asking about the steelbook.

Flipkart gaming Reply: "The Steelbook case is for PS3 edition (Limited stocks though)"

So according to that its only for PS3 edition...

I have asked them...Will let you know when they reply...:)

My understanding is that for whatever reason, possibly volume, they wouldn't make them there. Crazy tax rate for a country that does not make Console games - what are they protecting?

Edit: and of course the sales tax is on top of that tax, a tax on a tax.

@Ross, you're saying that tax is the reason then what about all the other games like call of duty ghosts which came for rupees 3599 and you will be very wrong as even the greatest game ever GTA 5 came for rs 3000

GTA 5 was made in Scotland and Don Bradman Cricket 14 in Australia...The cost of making games in Australia is very high compared to Scotland so the price of the game is also high...

It is a reason, not the reason.

I'm sure I could go into the reasons, but you'd ignore it.

a) They are all AAA games and sell in huge numbers, thus the publishers can lower the price for some areas as the component of fixed cost per copy comes down with the more number of units you sell.

b) They are developed in countries where the cost of development is not as high as it is in Australia

Even after all of that....COD:Ghosts was released in India at MRP of Rs.4299!!!!

Lets talk about the Cost-To-Sales ratio....cool?

@mr angad i agree that cod ghosts came at rs 4299 but within a month it reduced to rs 3599

Yes they do but I wouldn't call them an industry that needs protection (said with no disrespect towards them at all).

If anyone needs protection it is those outside India that pay high dev costs whereas India's are low.

Anyway, enough of that just wanted to point out that my biggest partner in India is the government.

Good Point there.

28.8% Import duty + Sales tax which means that if this would have to be excluded the cost of the game could be that much lower.

Do you also have a comparison chart of this for major cricket nations like NZ, UK, SA and what is the same for Australia?

It is quite a challenge to price it right! I agree.

Just hope that this is a success and we have sequels in the coming years
