Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

I'd want any English team to win but Liverpool. I didn't want them to win tonight but I just thought they'd overpower Milan .

You dont have to be Italian to support AC Milan. Personally I dont like them (or Liverpool) but have to congratulate them for a well deserved victory.

Well I'd say that Liverpool had that coming to them frankly. I didn't really care about the result but the better team definitely won.
Key moment for me was Gerrard's miss when it was 1-1. Should have done far better with it.

I'm ashamed at most of you guys. Why can't you follow Evertonfan*'s example and just forget personal rivalries against a team and support them for one night? As for you WORLD CHAMPIONS, you're not even Italian

(the same cannot be said for some msn convos this evening though ;))

This is my matter , i can support anybody i want . though i agree with you as you an english you can support them in any sport :) why you always poke your nose in everybodies matter

Milan:D Haha, unlucky Liverpool, not 6 times eh?:p There is no way that we could support the Scousers tonight, there's so much hatred. More than with United and City, we just don't like each other.

It was another poor final to be honest. Liverpool were the better side, but Milan defended well. Liverpool should have attacked more from the off. As Matt said on Saturday though, the side that deserves to win is the side which scores the most goals, therefore Milan were worthy winners:D.

Erm...Mr Hansen

Read the last line:p

You have to admit that Liverpool had it coming. Everybody that has something to do with Liverpool acted as if they had already won the match.

I knew from the beginning Milan would win.. although the game wasn't so spectacular IMO. Kuyt's goal in the end fired up the game a bit but other than Inzaghi's second goal I think most of the game was pretty boring.

Inzaghi's second goal was amazing, that was the only good thing i found in this game tonight. IMO neither Milan or Liverpool played at their best tonight.

before I go overboard on the whole antiscouse thing i think we have to say well done Milan, they were the best, they had the toughest run in after the group stages but they came through it all, and probably our the best team in Europe,if a little old :p

It wasn't the Kaka show like I expected but Liverpool were undone by Milan's tactical ability like I thought they would be.

It was the srt of match that didn't require a team effort, it required an individual to win the gameand that is what Inzaghi did and that is why he and Milan deserved the victory.

AC Milan has won the match. :) That's all what matters for me.

Well I think it's safe to say that Hansen got owned. I don't know how he's allowed to be a pundit, he is one of the most biased arseholes i've ever seen.

lol. I just knew from the start of the Match that Milan are gonna show those lucky aseholes scousers who the daddies are.Ok one time lucky but they werent gonna slip away this one. Great movement by Inzaghi for the 2nd goald and assist by Kaka.. Game was pretty boring but hey Kaka won thats what i care about

since when were we allowed to swear you two!?

i might as well join in :p yep, however biased Hansen's deluded article was, he is still a class pundit IMO although he couldn't have been more wrong in his prediction, the arsehole! :D

Well i am quite disappointed that Liverpool couldn't knock Milan over. They were certainly the superior team in the first half, and were terribly unlucky to go into the break,1-0.I was impressed with how Kewell played in attack(Though in defense he was slack),and embarrassed for Pool supporters, who had to watch Bolo Zenden represent their jumper. What a joke!As has been said,Milans tactical superiority won them the game along with a fantastic finish by the aweful Inzhagi.
