Champions League Thread (the dawn of time - 2014)

2-0, nice header from Hyypia, terrible defending though.

Easy 4-0 win...3 goals in the second half, Kuyt with the last two. :D

united have got Roma again. WE WANT 8! WE WANT 8! After pot 2 it doesn't matter to me :p

We have a pretty tricky group. Lazio are a good side now, and a team that can actually break Schuster's fast flowing game. Werder Bremen, well, on their day can be dangerous, although they arent as strong as they were at the beginning of last season. Diego Rincon will be the man to watch out for.

Olympiakos are the dark horses. They have our player, Raul Bravo, and Luciano Galleti too joined them from Atletico in the summer. Upfront they have Lua Lua and Kovacevic, so overall a pretty impressive squad.

I think the key for Madrid lies in their midfield. Sneijder, Guti and Diarra I believe will play a crucial role, and I expect Saviola to play a lot more in Europe than in La Liga. Raul's return to form is awesome news as he is one of the finest strikers of all time in Europe.

Hala Madrid!!

Raul Bravo :laugh, he could barely get into leeds team iirc.

I'm pretty happy with the draw.

My heart was in my mouth when we almost got drawn with CSKA Moscow. We don't want to travel to Russia and against a good team.

The Bucharest and Prague travels will be tricky but nothing we can't overcome comfortably.

Stuttgart have had a preety poor start in the Bundesliga. Schafner is nowhere near as good as Timo Hildebrand. Although even last year, Stuttgart had a horrible start only to end up as CHAMPIONS!

I think Chelsea's group is pretty tough as well - Schalke and Valencia are both quality sides.

Madrid Vs Bremen today..
looking forward to a victory...with the gr8 form of Madrid...;)

1-1 at half time, worst liverpool performance in a fair time imo, gerrard doesn't look fit. good finish by kuyt.

chelsea are 1-0 down lol.

Liverpool look out of sorts, that rotation policy again :p Milan look as comfortable as ever, Madrid not doing too well against Bremen and as i speak RUUUD Van Nistlerooy mucks up another chance. Chelsea still stuck at 1-1 but stepping it up now and they will score, Chelsea always scrape what they need. You knew Shevchenko would score tonight, he's a better player in the CL and the way Moutnhos been treating him he was always going to hit back. Now of course Jose will say it was all his masterstroke to get the best out of him

Well if i'm honest, i'll admit that Sheva really wasn't performing, and didn't really deserve to start, a goal against Rosenborg doesn't change my mind just yet, but I can see his trying.

1-1 its finished, we almost pushed for the win late on aswell, much better perfomance minus Pennant who got booked twice. Rafa should take resposibility for that, i'm sure i'm not the only one who saw that coming.
