Robinho signs for Chelsea

Chelsea have today announced the signing of Robinho from Real Madrid on a four-year contract, for an undisclosed fee, however it is believed to be in the margin of ?25m pounds.
Robinho, capped 50 times by Brazil, joined Real Madrid from Santos for a fee believed to be around 18 million pounds. The Brazilian, who was once hailed by Luis Scolari as "the best young and talented winger in the world", seems to have come at quite a good price, as after signing a five year contract, is believed to have joined the Blues for a fee of ?25m pounds.
A player that Scolari has rated so highly, and someone he had a very strong relationship with at Brazil and Santos, the Brazilian quickly became one of the players at the top of Scolari's shortlist. The Brazilian, that was a regular feature of Brazil National team, and was also able to establish himself in the great Real Madrid team under Fabio Capello and Bernd Schuster, seemingly looked as the best player at Real Madrid , was a favourite amongst the fans.
Joining Kaka, Bosingwa, and Deco at Stamford Bridge, Robinho will become the fourth signing to become a Chelsea player, yet the winger who mainly plays at right-wing or central attack, has cast even more doubt over the future of Joe Cole, the winger who was recently scored a goal in the opening game of the season .
Real Madrid Manager Bernd Schuster, admitted that Robinho, like the other three and their respective clubs, had wanted to leave immensely to join up with his former manager, yet also deemed that with persuading Arjen Robben to stay at Madrid, whilst having Sneijder back to full fitness, that he will easily cope without the loss of Robinho .
Speaking on the transfer, Luis Scolari has admitted that he has been able to sign everyone that he has wanted, and has hinted that there may not be anyone or only be one more man to come in."For me, this is a wonderful signing. I've mentioned before that in my opinion, Robinho is the best winger in the world. It was a bold statement, but I stick by it, and I still think that even at his young age, he has become in my view one of the best wingers in International and Club football. Still, he has a lot of learn, and with joining up with me and my fantastic coaching team, we will hope Robinho can improve even more, at his age of 24."
When asked about more transfers, he said: "This could be our last signing for this season . Though we are looking for a potential striker partnering Shevchenko upfront but I am satisfied with the squad at the moment . The signings this season have been brilliant . Kaka , Bosingwa , Deco and now Robinho all are great players and would add a lot of energy and hope to win the title again . "
Robinho added himself that Chelsea, with Scolari in charge, will win Europe, and feels they've got a great chance of winning the league: "When a player joins a club, they obviously need an ambition to join it. Some will be happy of sitting in mid-table, some will be happy staying in the league, but what I want is European Glory. I had that with Real Madrid, yes, but why? As we finished high as Champions in a fair league table. Chelsea have spent the millions like Real Madrid have, but with the money they have spent on certain players, bringing coaches in and especially persuading Luis to come in is exceptional, and why can't we all say 'We're going to retain the league title."
Rumours coming out of Stamford Bridge suggest that Joe Cole is on his way out, and Bernd Schuster Real Madrid may be the man to get him, there are even suggestions that there could of been even a swap deal between the two players. Well as Scolari said he is eying a potential striker , Pizarro may make way in the squad for Blackburn's Roque Santa Cruz .
