I've been thinking about the name and I don't know if the word 'Champions' fully captures the fighting spirit of this team. Wouldn't the Chennai 'Gladiators' be better? I think Cricketman wanted to use a gladiator for the logo as well, so it might fit in with that theme.

Guys i know its a bit of banter, but can we keep it to a minimum before the competition actually starts we don't want to peak before we get going do we Anyways, keep the pent up aggression for a real bombardment on the cricket field!

Hey that's not flaming, they are some healthy, rivalry words exchanged.(Atleast from my side.)

Champions or Gladiators, it doesn't matter to me. All I know is that we're going to be the "Champions" of the PCPL and "Gladiate" every opposition that comes to face us

Both names are good, if we want to continue the "aliteration" theme, then Champions is the way to go, if not, Gladiators sounds just as good.

Chennai Veerans is a cool name as well, good inference to the homeland, as well.
