Children going to the toilet in lesson time.

"and they are allowed to go in lesson if they have a medical note."
Wouldn't bowel problems come under that ?[DOUBLEPOST=1515066439][/DOUBLEPOST]It's a tough approach. A hard one at that. You would get plenty of kids who would just take advantage of it if you let them go all the time. But then again, if you got to go you got to go ? After all it's not good on your health to hold on too long.

But they are not holding their bladder if they go at break.

So you ask for advice but then just do what you want anyway? Pointless. Glad you are not my teacher. Children dont learn through punishment they learn by given the opportunity to take responsability; If they need to go to the toilet during lesson time but dont actually need to go then its your fault because your lessons arent engaging enough

Guess this is the three R's... ? Not sure how this subject matter is relevant on a cricket forum to a brand new member but then I am guilty of rambling but in context... A better topic maybe teaching of cricket in sports at school and how we introduce the key skills of the game to early years... ? Wasn't there an initiative called super sixes or something like that. I'll check with my friends but... As I rant it's called kwik Cricket.

Honestly if my child was in your class I would have put hands on you!

Just a sidenote its weird youre a teacher and continue to with this approach, surely you are not being serious!

I think it's your inability that is letting yourself get disturbed every time someone asks to go to washroom.

Hi, I am a primary school teacher (year 4) I never allow children to visit the toilet during lesson time. Would this rule bother you if it was your child?
Yes it would. That rule is so authoritarian :p

Well, it also depends on the duration of the lesson time and other factors. If it's anything more than an hour, then the rule is horrible. Also, they're children - no need to rule with an iron fist.

This has run longer than some AMA's... Talk of some peoples interest structure and has also got more posts than Jades trainers.... I worry for the world, seriously!

On topic... Isn't being able to go the lav a basic human need... ?

I just want to chip in my opinion. Why would a school teacher even bother to come here to say that? I’m not critising, just curious.
Caroline has turned me to the dark side of suspision. x

i would expect my child to respect your rule, because she would need to learn that unfortunately life throws idiots in your way and sometimes they are in charge and you gotta toe the line. and then i'd petition to have her removed from your class, because i wouldn't risk her getting a kidney infection to amuse your lust for power over minors.

Whoever they were they joined yesterday, posted this thread, replied a few times and by lunchtime gone never to be seen again.

Anyone care to explain..?

Decided it wasn’t actually funny?
