Chris Broad / Stuart Broad

Stuart Broad is one of the weakest men I have ever seen. He is simply pathetic, he needs to take a leaf out of the book of Chris Martin or Iain O'Brien. Now they are true fast bowlers.

You're telling me that Broad shouldn't have been atleast fined 100% of his match fee for that or banned for 1 match at the very least?

That's literally assault.

A) Calm down with all the assualt stuff, there have been plenty of times where the ball has been thrown back to the keeper/at the stumps and it has hit the batsman. If you think that is assault then you need to man up and stop being such a pussy.

B) Broad was being a right cock and does need to change his attitude, I think a ban is exactly what he needs to calm it down.

C) How was it discrimination?

Woah, I missed this. Just watched that video on the last page. Wow, first throw the ball and hit someone and then put the hand up to apologize. Well done Broad!

1. He celebrated without appealing. For the umpteenth time.
2. He chucked a ball at a batsman and did not even bother to apologise properly.

He gets 50% match fee fine...that is pretty lenient

I've already been through all the fines and bans handed out over the last year and found that it overwhelming shows that players from the subcontinent have had alot less than others. So it isn't discrimination.

However he definitely should have been banned; should have got a one test or two odi ban at least.

Really needs to change his attitude because for starters it isn't need and if anything for the type of player he is he needs to keep his concentration and keep the ball on a line and length.

Not excusing Broad's actions, as it was pure petulance, but it's nice to see that consistency remains as far as these incidents go. Mohammad Asif did exactly the same thing to Paul Collingwood in England's 1st Innings, and because of the inaccuracy of his throw and the fact Colly managed to get out the way he gets away without punishment. If Broad gets fined for his actions, then Asif should receive the same punishment. Whether he missed the batsman or not, Asif's intent was clear. Discrimination my arse; same goes for claims of Assault too. Ludicrous.

I reckon he bursts into tears when the match referee calls him in.

that's how he gets away with it. Those red, wet cheeks and that adorable little blonde do he has. How could anyone ban him?

tbh, apart from a few one off incidents I think match referees are too lenient on the whole. too many players act like complete gimps and nothing happens to them, it just pisses fans of cricket off.

Good call from Swann though:

What good call? Broad is a bowler and if anyone can throw the ball hard enough to hurt someone its a bowler.

After seeing the video it didn't even look like he apologized. To me it looked more like he waved his arm at the batsman sort of saying "forget you".

Let's get things straight here. Haider played the ball and then advanced down the wicket, being out of his crease. That means that Broad has the right to throw the ball at the stumps. Yes, he missed and should be talked too, but it's a huge over reaction to expect him to be banned etc. When you see some of the things that players can get away with, this was hardly a blip on the scale.

People are expecting him to be banned because over the past 3 years he has done things and been warned for them. I may be wrong but you get in trouble twice and then you get suspended but because his daddy is a match ref he gets away with it.

Lots of people have 'done things' and 'gotten away with them'. This Witch hunt needs to stop, certain members are embarrassing themselves to be honest.

Not really. Most of the cricketers that have been warned a few times have been suspended.

LOL. You don't actually believe that do you?
