@Viral why did u TIe. You should have GFi instead and then not played a friendly this sunday.Tough luck buddy
End of Over 14: 61-6, runrate=4.36, reqrunrate=8.61 (370-2)
Malik 2-1-13-2
Padayachie* 3 (6 balls)
Sagren 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Singh lali lbw b. Malik 0 (FOW: 61/6)

13.6 W Malik to Singh lali
That's a brave decision by the umpire, looked like it might have been sliding down leg to me. Singh lali certainly looks upset, but he's got to go.
13.5 . Malik to Singh lali
The forward defensive. Solid defending, Singh lali protects his wicket.
13.4 W Malik to Islam
Goes for the sweep shot but gets a top edge that sails high and drops safely into the hands of Ardley.
13.3 . Malik to Islam
Stroked to the off.
13.2 . Malik to Islam
Flighted up full and straight, forward, quietly defending back to Malik.
13.1 . Malik to Islam
Bit of lift, went for the cut, beats the bat.
two wk in an over again. This time for the other spinner

He was no shot in winning, hes got one tough league :) Thanks Viral I'm enjoying being the dominator rather than the dominated!

Very nicely done Handy, bowlers are cleaning up. This win will really boost your NRR.

Sinhala Ranaweera vs Shakeshake [ Another Bot-Bashing day ]

So as usual Murray won the toss and elected to bat so that we could see how much Stanley (debutant) and Duminda can put up for us.

End of Over 40: 304-0, runrate=7.60
Dabare 10-0-74-0
Stanley* 130 (115 balls)
Duminda 164 (125 balls)

Huge isnt it? I am very happy cause Duminda has managed to hit another century... While at the same time managed to equal the top score for Sinhala
165 which was earlier made by Murray. Pity Duminda got out at 165 and Stanley who seemed to go slow made 146.

End of Over 50: 392-3, runrate=7.84

Bowling part, John on his OD debut has already troubled the top order with Amarnath [ ex-Aura now back in SInhala Ranaweera ] taking a wicket in his first ball.

End of Over 9: 32-4, runrate=3.56, reqrunrate=8.80 (392-3)

John 5-2-7-3
Amaranath 4-0-21-1

Pretty good, my only hope is that i dont go up the promotion tables...

Amarnath got another one!!!

9.4 W Amaranath to Gunatilleke
Bowled him! He played all round it!

not bad for a med/abys with feeb stamina...

Awesome total Voldy too bad you couldn't get to 400. Nice debut for Stanley. You need to bowl worthless bowlers if you want to give them a chance ;)

can someone pm me the ball by ball commentary of this match: 1078856 it will be greatly appreciated

AWESOME win by 302 runs :) Ahmed(first week Youth pull) got another 96...that means 6 innings 4 50's, he prolly isnt going to score big because we has only mediocre stamina and comptent consistency...i wonder what will happen when he has strong stamina and strong consistency

Anyways the boys did really really well, even got my seam bowling to go to Superb:)

We can tell you that Cornered-Tigers won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

Usually, I'd be happy, but today I wanted to bat first.

0.1 2 Caskey to Sattar
This guy treats the ball like a beautiful lady. Caressed round the corner for two.
LOL!

End of Over 2: 11-0, runrate=5.50
Tahir 1-0-8-0
Moosa* 1 (2 balls)
Sattar 10 (10 balls)

Tahir is utter poo at the start of an innings. :(

End of Over 6: 34-0, runrate=5.67
Tahir 3-0-19-0
Sattar* 19 (22 balls)
Moosa 12 (14 balls)

Tahir really sucks balls. He really sucks.

6.2 6 Caskey to Sattar
Oh what a shot! He'll put an eye out with rockets like that. Look out below, that's six all the way!

That just blew Caskey's figures out of the park!

End of Over 8: 48-0, runrate=6.00
Tahir 4-0-26-0
Sattar* 32 (31 balls)
Moosa 13 (17 balls)

I gotta change Tahir's bowling order. But I don't know where to put him. Because Handbury and Longrigg have cemented their spots as 3rd and 4th bowler. And Charlton bowls as 5th bowler.

8.4 6 Caskey to Sattar
Short ball waiting to be hit. Sattar rocked back and hit it high and handsome over square leg.

Uh-oh.

Not the greatest start for you there Gilly. A few wickets should be able to slow that run rate though.

I have my economical bowlers coming on shortly. So they should slow things down. But you're right, I need wickets.

LOL!
11.1 b1 Handbury to Moosa
Cheerio. Au revoir. Auf wiedersehen. Some continental versions for you there, but it's still a bye.

End of Over 12: 66-0, runrate=5.50
Handbury 1-1-0-0
Moosa* 17 (23 balls)
Sattar 44 (50 balls)

Maiden. :D

13.3 1 Handbury to Moosa
A slower ball and Moosa steers it into the gap for an easy run.
13.2 4 Handbury to Moosa
On drive, the hardest shot in the book and he just made it look so easy!
13.1 4 Handbury to Moosa
The crowd loved that shot. Four more runs.

Damn.....

You're going alright run rate isn't out of control and once 15 overs is up hopefully your economical bowlers can slow things for you.

Zahid* 12 (14 balls)
Wajahat 1 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Sattar c. Bridges b. Longrigg 52 (FOW: 97/2)
18.6 . Longrigg to Wajahat
Good ball! Good line and length and straightening off the seam just outside off stump. Wajahat is beaten and the ball goes through to Bridges.
18.5 . Longrigg to Wajahat
He's completely messed up that attempted reverse sweep. The ball catches Wajahat square on the visor and he goes 'gardening' on a good length to calm himself.
18.4 . Longrigg to Wajahat
Good ball from Longrigg. Wajahat looks to force it through the off side but doesn't connect. Bridges tosses the ball to Myall who sets about some vigourous rubbing of the ball trying to get some shine going on one side. Glad I don't do his laundry!

End of Over 21: 120-2, runrate=5.71

20.5 6 Longrigg to Zahid
Long hop down leg side, given the treatment and the ball disappears into the stand. Six runs.
20.4 2 Longrigg to Zahid
To run away for two, was all that he could do.
20.3 1 Longrigg to Wajahat
Wajahat gets his foot out to the pitch of the ball and plays the ball into the covers with a textbook cover drive. The batsmen run through for a

Run rate hasn't slowed down which is a bit of a worry. Hope your guys are good at chasing or he has a weak middle/lower order.

YESYESYESYEYESYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get the 220 averaging man out for 43! WOOHOOO!

His next guy averages 71.

Just 2 more wickets in the next 4-5 overs, and I'll be happy. :)
He just leans back, waits for it, and taps it fine down to third man, and picks up a single.

41.6 4 Charlton to Wajahat
He steps towards the ball and drives it to the long on boundary.
41.5 4 Charlton to Wajahat
Good hit from Wajahat, Riley is underneath it but gets his feet tangled and tumbles backwards much to the annoyance of Charlton. Four runs.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
41.4 1 Charlton to Fawad
Angled in, managed to steer it into the gap, deep cover doing the fielding.
41.3 4 Charlton to Fawad
That shot oozes class. Smashed away by Fawad to the cover boundary for four.
41.2 1 Charlton to Wajahat
Well worked to third man.
41.1 1 Charlton to Fawad
Solid stroke to long off for the single.

I really need to get a couple of wickets in the next 2 overs or so.

48.1 6 Tahir to Wajahat
Slower ball. Well picked by Wajahat and dispatched over the bowler’s head.

I think this guy has a gun spinner that opens the bowling.

Last Wicket: Myall lbw b. Corbett 0 (FOW: 0/1)

I'm shocked. Absolutely shocked. I was talking to a mate on msn and I was jokingly saying that Myall went out first balll.
Then I refreshed and it said that Myall was out first ball! I WAS LIKE! WTH! I JINXED HIM!

Code:

3.2 4	Bangash to Saich
Magnificent shot, lad. Crisp and out of the middle of the bat, no chance for the cover fielder. Four runs

Kinda needed that....

I'm keeping up with the run rate. These guys just need to put on a 100-150 partnership. They put a 150 partnership on, on friday.

9.5 6	Bangash to Bridges
That's right out of the meat of the bat and out of the stadium. Six runs!
9.4 2	Bangash to Bridges
A touch too wide and slashed away hard, but brilliant work from Corbett down at third man saves a couple of runs.
9.3 2	Bangash to Bridges
Two runs to Bridges. Hit straight past Bangash and fielded well by Farruhk to stop the boundary
9.2 2	Bangash to Bridges
No timing there and it squirts through the covers for a couple.
9.1 3	Bangash to Saich
Saich will have to settle for three after his cover drive didn't quite make the ropes.

Massive over! Just what I needed! 16 from it!
