I am totally annoyed with this partnership

End of Over 76 (5 runs, 2lb). mumbai_devils: 248-4, runrate=3.26
Trail by 194 runs. (HuntingTigers 442-1 dec)

Macdonald 24-0-97-0
Willingham* 102 (165 balls)
de Caires 84 (142 balls)
Last Wicket: Ansaf c. Clarke b. Karthikeyan 1 (FOW: 69/4)

Won by an innings and 38 runs, I only made 308 in my innings too.

Mampe took a career best 7-41 in the second innings. He didn't get to bowl to in the first.

I managed to finish them up by 348.. Now i have set the declaration total to 280 runs.. And things are going as per the plan.. some serious smashings,

46.6 6 Downey to Singh
That's a full toss and Singh fills his boots, smashing it away to the mid wicket boundary for six.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

46.3 4 Downey to Singh
Classy shot by a classy player. Four runs!
46.2 4 Downey to Singh
Singh has whacked that so hard, I'm not sure anyone in the ground has seen that! Incredible shot.
47.1 4 Padhya to Heads
Perfect placement! Heads lobbed that over the covers for four runs. Padhya doesn't look too happy.

Declaration is soon coming.. So with almost two sessions in hand, HT bowlers had to bend their back so hard to try and get them all out... but it's very high asking task though...

End of Over 48 (7 runs). HuntingTigers: 272-4, runrate=5.67 (1st Inn: 442-1 dec)
Lead by 366 runs. (mumbai_devils 348-10)
Padhya 18-2-82-2

Heads* 58 (48 balls)
Singh 54 (31 balls)

Last Wicket: Bishop c. de Caires b. Giggs 102 (FOW: 192/4)

So lets see.. Target is going to be 375 in 2 sessions and it all depends on how HT bowlers come up :upray Com'on boys lets do it! :upray

surendar added 9 Minutes and 24 Seconds later...

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 50 (13 runs). HuntingTigers: 288-4, runrate=5.76 (1st Inn: 442-1 dec)
Lead by 382 runs. (mumbai_devils 348-10)

Giggs 19-0-109-1

Heads* 70 (58 balls)
Singh 58 (33 balls)

Last Wicket: Bishop c. de Caires b. Giggs 102 (FOW: 192/4)

Excellent so far... Singh and Heads along with Bishop played a key role in batting. Now the target for them is 383... Lets see.. Com'on bowlers! :upray

The plan executed very well till now i.e the tea session :happy:happy:happy

End of Over 30 (Maiden). mumbai_devils: 50-9, runrate=1.67 (1st Inn: 348-10)
Trail by 332 runs. (HuntingTigers 442-1 dec & 288-4 dec)
Hamed 15-5-27-4
Rogan* 3 (31 balls)
Downey 1 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Marriott c. Heads b. Hamed 0 (FOW: 48/9)

Hamed 15-5-27-4
Karthikeyan 14-4-19-4

These two bowlers have changed the look of the game for HT now :) I made them to bowl continuous spells where they were only bowling for first 28 overs :D Planned strategy working out.... Now have to get the one more wicket in one last session left :upray com'on boys.. thats the spirit.. Lets win it! :upray

:happy And that's the end of the match. HuntingTigers won by 331 runs. :happy

End of Over 31 (1 runs). mumbai_devils: 51-10, runrate=1.65 (1st Inn: 348-10)
Trail by 331 runs. (HuntingTigers 442-1 dec & 288-4 dec)
Clarke 1-1-1-1
Rogan* 4 (34 balls)
Last Wicket: Downey b. Clarke 1 (FOW: 51/10)

The last wicket,

30.4 W Clarke to Downey
Clarke has found the batsman's gate and it was left open.

That finishes the match.. I am surprised that the team which got 350 in first innings got rolled out for 51... Very much same as the England team did? :D

Well done Karthikeyan and Hamed to win it for HT.. Of course, Well done to Bishop as well, who got double century followed by a century in successive innings. :) So this makes the member confidence to move up for the home game tmrw. Well done, Tigers to pull the win from nowhere that too in just one session after lunch. :hpraise

Congrats on the win I see you had no problem bowling him out 2nd time around :)

Back to the OD comp, my bowlers haven't been as miserly as usual but I'll take it.

Forestville
End of Over 41: 142-10, runrate=3.46
Woods 6-2-13-3
Lunt* 0 (7 balls)

Special mention to Sawyer who grabbed 5-20 in 10 overs.

In reply lost Fincher early

End of Over 9: 54-1, runrate=6.00, reqrunrate=2.17 (142-10)
Abdul kadir 5-0-36-1
Crouch* 20 (29 balls)
Chavhanga 24 (18 balls)
Last Wicket: Fincher lbw b. Abdul kadir 10 (FOW: 14/1)

haha good win for you Syl.. I also had a similar match today,

End of Over 18: 140-0, runrate=7.78, reqrunrate=0.03 (140-10)
Sowrirajan 4-0-35-0
Heads* 60 (61 balls)
Bishop 72 (47 balls)

no probs in chasing that 140 score :) Another home cup game is what next in the list for HT :)

LOL, Roper and Pretorius combined took 9 wickets. Those two are awesome with the new ball. Just need my batsmen to bat sensibly now :upray

End of Over 12: 51-2, runrate=4.25, reqrunrate=4.37 (216-10)

Radcliffe 1-0-1-0

Tailor* 16 (17 balls)
McCree 15 (22 balls)

Last Wicket: Africa lbw b. Beard 13 (FOW: 29/2)

So far, so good :)

End of Over 30: 135-2, runrate=4.50, reqrunrate=4.10 (216-10)

Wotton 5-0-21-0

Tailor* 56 (78 balls)
McCree 57 (69 balls)

Last Wicket: Africa lbw b. Beard 13 (FOW: 29/2)

Highlander999 added 40 Minutes and 7 Seconds later...

Great knock by Tailor, as usual. Good win against this team:

End of Over 41: 201-3, runrate=4.90, reqrunrate=1.78 (216-10)

Beard 6-0-27-1

Tailor* 100 (107 balls)
Wilbrahim 7 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: McCree c. Ropinski b. Radcliffe 71 (FOW: 166/3)

End of Over 36: 166-1, runrate=4.61, reqrunrate=6.36 (254-7)
Paster 8-1-29-0
Harbin* 79 (105 balls)
Mampe 48 (74 balls)

I will not be at all happy if I don't win this match. I may have to reconsider my tactics as it would be two soft league defeats against significantly inferior teams in a row.

Ahhhh gutted, my cup opponent went 2nd string so I wasted PFL doing a GFI. Although finished the match quickly so hopefully my players don't get hit too much.

Anyway bowled them all out for 39: Woods 3-8, Mampe 2-2, Fernades 3-9 and Sawyer 2-2.
So once again my batters have to do nothing :p

I don't think PFL gets wasted Syl if players are finishing off the opponents very shortly.. Definitely your batsmen in playing XI(who did not get chance to play at all because of low total) will be having the same PFL :)

And my game is yet to start.. Just analyzed the opponent. Quite decent opponent with many players between 11-20K BTR. So I am not taking him light ;)

So far it has started well for me after they decided to bat first,

End of Over 11: 37-3, runrate=3.36
Karthikeyan 6-1-14-1
Punchihewa* 1 (1 balls)
Hitish 0 (7 balls)
Last Wicket: Nixon c. Malik b. Karthikeyan 8 (FOW: 36/3)

Lets keep this momentum going :upray

I am surprised to see this,

End of Over 26: 60-6, runrate=2.31
Hamed 3-2-3-1
Croxon* 6 (21 balls)
Sagren 2 (8 balls)
Last Wicket: Loxley c. Clarke b. Hamed 1 (FOW: 52/6)

If they would have GFIed then it would have been a close contest! :onpc

End of Over 28: 187-0, runrate=6.68
Naidoo 9-0-61-0
Flower* 79 (78 balls)
Henry 102 (90 balls)

Ton no second for Henry :happy i hope Flower can also add one to his collection ;)
