Commonwealth Bank Series

Well at the very start in the first inn before Strauss got out you were looking good but when Vaughan got out you were 2-58 off 15 which is less than 4 an over and thats where the troubles began as you wanted to try and hit big and score some runs

Reading the commentary on cricket australia Gilchrist is giving it to the Poms!

Well they still were in a good position with KP and Collingwood in a partnership but when McGrath injured KP that was a big turning point as who knows what KP could have done if he was fit. Certainly would have got that 100.

a good shot it was! Gilchrist hit a 3 when we first came to air too! Greta stop by Sajid Mahmood couple of overs ago when Gilchrist played an aggressive pull and cut off with 1 hand, as i type 4 more to gilly!

That was a good comeback by Flintoff, only a few runs off it unlike his first 2.
Hayden just gave Anderson a whack and there goes Gilly.

That shot was crazily awesome. Flintoff no longer has the wood over Gilly and it seems like hes fixed that around the wicket problem. 50 up for Gilly well in son.

Haha Anderson off already and Monty on.

100 up before the 15th over excellent start by this pair. Monty is really firing it in quick, sadly he ain't going to get a wicket like that which is one of the problems with bringing him in during a powerplay.

2nd powerplay not taken so that should help Monty and Dalrymple.
Wow that worked very well, the dangerous Gilly out catch Nixon. Speaking of Nixon looks to have settled down now.

Solid innings from Gilly, might be interesting if Vaughan is tempted to set the powerplay the next over.

Edit: Guess it's common sense to use it only if they get a wicket soon.

Ah Hayden out now miles out of the crease but nicked it anyway. He didn't need to do that really as the run rate required is more than gettable, this was his chance to cement the opening spot.
Good bowling by Monty none the less.

Lol that would have been a funny runout if given. Ponting had a fair chunk of his bat over the line but because it has a bow most of that chunk was in the air, luckily he managed to get a bit more over.

It could have put the design of cricket bats into doubt.

Breaking News: KP out for 3-5 (whole of this tour) due to fractured rib. Huge loss for the English as he was in great form and it means England have one less big hitter.

Pietersen out for the rest of the series with a fractured rib. Why didnt I bet on vbookie at 7/1 :(
