Commonwealth Bank Series

I disagree, didn't Bell average best for England in ODI's in 2006? Or was that just better then Pietersen? Bell averages 40 in ODI cricket with fewer not outs & no hundred to show for it. It'll come soon anyway, Collingwood has looked at sea & so has Bell but personally I think Bell's looked slightly more sufficient at the crease.
Who in the hell made that assessment? I would've never classed Collingwood as a ODI specialist.

Haha, just watching a re-run of yestodays ODI between Aus-Eng, and i was just laughing at the part about Paul Nixon when he was up at the stumps to Hussey. When Hussey got off strike the first comment which came was "Ill stand back, he's gunna edge this one," hahahahaha Poor Cameron White.

I was listening to several opinions on Sky not too long back. Collingwood does all the basics well. Plus he can Bowl well if needed, Bat well and most importantly he is a Jonty Rhodes kind of fielder who strives to keep the runs down

Collingwood is useful for digging us out of holes but he hasn't done that throughout this tour i'm afraid. Bell is a classy player and his stats don't do him full justice. He absolutley destroyed the Pakistani's in the summer in both codes of the game and he hasn't been that bad in this series either.

About the McCullum argument a few pages back, he should definitley be moved back down the order. Every team tries to emulate Gilchrist by putting the wicket-keeper in an opening spot without realising that Gilchrist was born into that role and not nurtured into it. England failed with Jones up there, Pakistan did it with Akmal and McCullum is also finding it hard up there with New Zealand.

We'll see who ends up having a more successful career now won't we? ;)
The Bear would own Nixon anyway.

Aus v NZ tomorrow!

I'd just like to say how dissapointed I am in this series so far. It had so much promise and I thought it was going to be a terrific series when I heard who was playing in this series.

NZ need to add at least another batsman to their side. They currently only have 5 real batsman. I'd like to see McMillan at 7 or even 8 with batsmen and possibly another all-rounder ahead of him.

Oh, I hope we bat first!

Funny how in this series all the teams competing have one thing in common. We all have the union jack in our flags lol. It's kinda like a civil war is this comp. Can't we all just get along? :laugh

This is kind of off-topic but has anyone noticed how Flintoff acts around Nixon? He acts different when he's either at the crease with him or in the field with him.

That's got a lot to do with Nixon as he is very chirpy.

Anyway I say Hussey was out! He nicked that! Stupid ump but England will beat Australia in the world cup!
