Correct Names Patch

Steve - is there something that I need to change - I have followed what seems to be the correct process from download but no change in game. Is something write protected?

I'm really keen to see and use your work - any suggestions?

Delete your old USER file first, it may be write protected which is why you may still have old names.

I too want say that this work is excellent,but i dont get the correct link to download ashes demo. Please provide me the correct link..

Well cannot unzip the file, says there is nothing in it.



Ok able to get it working, I was using download manager to download it, i think that was creating problems.

You need Winrar to open it, I've just downloaded it an it works for me

hmmm, well ain't working, I renamed my original User.dat file to UserOriginal and then copied the 140KB User.dat downloaded file. Started the game, same problem, and when I came back to the directory

C:\Documents and Settings\.......\My Games\Codemasters\Ashes Cricket 2009

There was another User.dat, newly created one, that was the same size as the old one. Any idea whats going on?

One Bug

The 43812 ID Player's name is written as "Rabial( ashat" !!!
Please correct that mate.

Here is the total deal and the end to every problem.
Thanks to the uploader it works fine.
1. Download winrar if you don't have it and unrar it to the desktop.
2. You will get a file USER.DAT
3. Install the game if you don't have it installed or follow the next step.
4. Place the USER.DAT to C:\My Documents\My Games\Codemasters\Ashes Cricket 2009 folder. Note:- There is a file of the same name in that folder just replace it and keep your hands off from USRSTAT.DAT
5. WARNING:- if you got any save game and don't want to lose it. Then ask the uploader to give you the respective names of the players along side the names in the game so that you can edit it manually.
6. The whole thing works like charm without error and Vaughn also got replaced by Onions.
7. Go to the PAVILION and chose your THEME of the team.
7. Enjoy!

And don't worry just edit it yourself
Go to customisation -> Player Editor -> Player name and press enter -> Edit player name. And do it.
But please inform us the team of Rabial so that we can rectify it too.
