Hick has played 21 first-class and 21 List A games for Zimbabwe, and was in their 1983 World Cup Squad, though he didn't play a game. He is also currently eligible to represent them in international cricket.
Really?
In that case, he is a good option.
And yea, we had that second spinner dillema. Iron-haggis and I just decided in the end to let Flower keep wicket whilst Taibu bowled :p

With Hick in the team - he would also make a good second spinner?

BB in tests of 4/126 (innings) and 5/28 (match)

Yea, he's be useful.
But who to drop? I wouldn't drop Taibu, so it's between Andy Flower, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Dave Houghton, Kevin Arnott and Neil Johnson, the allrounder. Tough...Johnson might have to make way, and Olonga, Brandes and Streak would have to benough. Houghton might be forced to bowl.

Hick didn't play an international match for Zimbabwe, did he? I thought it was just domestically, much the same as Pietersen.

Andy Flower would be the first Zimbabwean picked.

You wouldn't want to pick Hick anyway. I watched him get out at my cricket club last year in our now annual charity game against the Bunburys. It wasn't just that he got out cheaply, it was that he got out to Goldie Sayers the British Olympic Female Javelin Thrower :p

I was pretty dissapointed as I was expecting a chap with over 100 FC centuries to go to town on our smallish boundaries. In the end it was left to Billy Godleman to smash the runs about. Boy can that lad play!

This should help: http://www.cricketarchive.co.uk/cgi...startscore=&endscore=&startwicket=&endwicket=

Always use Cricket Archive for stats enquiries, cricinfo's database is near-useless.

I can't possibly think of an Indian team without Subash Gupte. He was possibly the finest leg spinner.

BTW, have a look at that WI all-time team
