Cricket 19 General Discussion

If Jofra Archer makes it, I'll be so pleased. That change in ECB Rules had a lot to do with making him eligible, reminds of the time when CA got Fawad Ahmed Aussie Citizenship just to let him play for them. FA didn't exactly to his best after, let's hope Archer does and also gets in the squad.
Agree with this completely. It's just good for cricket overall, and he seems like a really nice bloke. Hate might be a strong word, but it was so distasteful of certain English players to actively advocate for his exclusion. Highly unprofessional. Why are players worried about this? Perform and you'll be picked, it's quite simple. I so dislike this good ol' boys arguments. They're simply favouritism cloaked under the rhetoric of chemistry.

I find commentators like Neil Manthorp, Jim Maxwell and Fazeer Mohammad a lot better than many ex player commentators. I enjoyed Guerilla Cricket’s commentary too.

Some of the ex players become too distant and forget that the viewers/listeners haven’t played professional cricket.

I’m not suggesting that they need to dumb down and some are very insightful (eg: Vic Marks) but sometimes they need to remember that bemoaning a batsman playing a poor shot to them is to us actually a batsman being beaten by an excellent delivery.

How about a three person commentary dreamteam for the game?

I’m actually struggling but know what my worst nightmare would be... Graeme Swann, Henry Blofeld and Dirk Nannes... oh and Jonathan Agnew and plenty of others!

Surely Bill Lawry would be unavailable but if they could get him, I wouldn't even care who the other two are honestly.

I've played Ashes and DBC 17. Don't know which commentary is worse. Atleast ashes had more commentators. (I think)

Can anyone tell me how the commentary in DBC 14 was?

I had an idea the other day of big ant incorporating previous commentary and adding a few new commentators with the ability to choose the commentators or randomise before the game at hand.

But I'm not sure if I ever want to hear those commentators again. Alot of commentary was bland and boring of course.

"The score at 17 for none FOR NONE".

DBC 14 Commentary was okay, as far as I remember. Ashes Cricket had the official commentary so that was the only good part, otherwise I always turn off commentary makes it more realistic.

If I could recall Brian Lara Cricket 2005 had 5 or 6 commentators. To be honest, Codemasters did an outstanding job by including a very good commentary team of Bill Lawry, Tony Greig, David Gower, Ian Bishop, and Jonath Agnew. It was fun to listen to all those commentators.
Ian Bishop made playing AC09 a great great experience!

Another week without news guys we will get their one day with tmoz been Good Friday and public holiday wouldn’t except news

Get to see the cover art too. Wonder if 28th will mean 29th for Southern Hemisphere or if we will get it a day earlier than the English?
